Before the teams take the field, this basic, one-speed, 12-volt blender gets the party going. Whip up margaritas, smoothies, and daiquiris or make dips for the chips right in the stadium parking lot. Waring is a respected name in blenders, so it's no surprise they were thoughtful enough to devise a bender that facilitates a movable feast. The key is the plug at the end of a 14-foot cord: it plugs into a vehicle's cigarette lighter. That means icy cocktails, ice-cream shakes, and other drinks can be fashioned on a tailgate or picnic table or anywhere a vehicle can go. The 6-cup, pitcher-shaped container is tough plastic so it can be dropped on asphalt without damage. Fully assembled, the blender stands 14-1/2 inches high on a 7-inch-diameter, bright chrome base. --Fred Brack

Very stable on the boat and easy to clean: as we need to save water onboard, the fact that it doesn't have bowl with corners allows to rinse it with very few water.
It crushes everything and people with crushing issues should review the diameter of their wires in their installation..... It looks very professional and easy to use. Nothing to see with a gadget from Asia, the "made in USA" is obvious. Very happy with this item for the ergonomy and simplicity. Almost sure, it won't rust too. :)
200W-12V is perfect for a sailing boat and won't drain your batteries as if you were using an invertor....
Love.
To be clear, I am not comparing this to a conventional bar blender. I am not comparing this to a gas powered blender. I am taking it on its own terms, which is a blender that makes life very easy for you where you have a 12V outlet...and that's it. If you want a quick, easy, no-real-thought-required way to get a blender at a tailgate or a campsite, well, this is your boy.
And to that end, let's adjust expectations. Many reviewers point out that this will not make superfinely ground frozen drinks, and they are correct. It will break up ice, though for best results you really want to prepare the battlefield. By that I mean that if you are trying to ground ice cubes such as you make in your freezer, well, you'll be disappointed. It does an admirable job of crushing ice that you get from the supermarket though, and that is expected. After all, if you're tailgating you're more likely to use commercial bagged ice than ice from home, I think. But even at that, you are going to get cold, frothy, and small chunks instead of a Slurpee-style drink.
One switch with one speed means one choice. It does, I think, approaches the edge of the power envelope that you can realistically get from a 12V outlet. And speaking of which, I used this with a Celestron Power Tank AND a Black & Decker PPRH5B Professional Power Station in addition to the power point in the truck. All options worked flawlessly. There's a generous 15' cord which is appreciated, but if you have a power station then the cord is a bit TOO long.
It's easy to clean. By now you know the pitcher is plastic, and other reviewers are correct when they say the lid fits on crazy tight. The bottom comes off easily though, and that makes cleanup really simple.
For outdoors use I could kind of do without the chrome, but whatever.
Frankly, I don't think you can do much better than this blender without spending a lot more money or going through a lot of hassle. Instead of messing around with pure sine wave inverters hooked up to monster batteries that will do anything, you could go for what I call a 90% solution....this blender will handle about 90% of whatever most people expect to blend. I am very impressed with it.
Two things to note about this bad boy, the lid fits REALLY tight and has no knob on top to help you pull it off. I had to pry it up though the spout hole with the back of a spoon when I first opened it. Not a problem as long as you don't actually put it down into the pitcher all the way. I found it fit firmly enough to keep liquid from splashing by placing it lightly on top, which allowed me to get it off easily. They really should provide a knob for the lid.
The second thing is that the base of the pitcher screws on in reverse (NOT "Righty-Tighty"). I am sure there is a good reason for this that relates to the motor, etc, but it does require you to remember not to turn it counter-clockwise when you want to take it apart to clean it as you will be tightening the base, rather than loosening it. Arrows are molded into the bottom of the base to remind you, but they are the same color as the base so you may overlook them.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend this blender. If my opinion changes over time, I will revise my post.
