I realize these are unisex sized, however these gloves run quite large for a woman's hand. I have an average female hand size, and locally could only find size S which were very loose for my 7.25" palm circumference. I finally found a size chart on southcovesports.com - it would be nice if Amazon had the size chart available! I copied below if helpful for others. Amazon had a fair price and XS in stock. These fit well and I really like the extra layer of padding in the thumb joint.

Sizes (palm circumference measurement):
XS fits 7-7.75"
S fits 7.75-8"
M fits 8-8.5"
L fits 8.5-8.75"
XL fits 8.75-9.25"
XXL fits 9.25-9.75"

Exactly what I needed - perfect for paddling!

These gloves were exactly what I was looking for: comfortable, padded gloves that could provide some warmth and reduce blisters while paddling. After several hours of use, my hands were still perfectly comfortable, and I had no signs of blisters or "hot spots" around my thumbs, as typically happens when paddling for a while. They breathe well, and fit my hands well (I used the sizing chart). I love the extra little piece of absorbent terrycloth fabric on the thumb - it allows you to wipe your face/brow/etc. without scratching. Very nice addition.

Great for the bike as well

I kinda thought that 'Paddling Gloves' would be waterproof but silly me! That is not the case here. I used a Heavy Duty Water Repellent after the first time out and getting soaked. We'll see . . . Great for the bike as well. Good dual purpose glove, well padded, stretchy and comfortable. The sizing chart works; use it and you won't get the wrong size.

These worked as advertised, they are indeed fingerless gloves that protect your hands from blisters.
I used this product for approximately 10 hours over the course of two days. They arrived quickly, and the fit was comfortable and felt durable upon first inspection.
After the 10 hours of nearly constant use, there was some noticeable wear on the lining protecting the thumb, though it wasn't very substantial. The fabric was slightly frayed, and there was some slight discoloration but ultimately they were fantastic. I haven't had a blister on my hands while kayaking since buying these gloves.
Great buy, would recommend.

Extremely satisfied with the gloves' protection on extended paddling outings. Only reason for not giving the 5th star--neither Amazon nor ANYONE ELSE carries (or has in stock) the XS size that would fit my wife. Additional note--measure carefully: these run a bit larger and they need to be snug to be effective.

Insight from a woman with big hands

I am mostly commenting for size because it was hard for me to decide which ones to get. I hope this will help someone else who may be in the same situation. I am a woman but I can never buy woman's gloves because my hands are too big. I bought these in a medium and it is a very nice fit. I have only worn them once so I don't know if they will stretch as others posted.

They won't last!

Junk. Didn't last but a dozen times of careful use paddling. Palm material (grey) getting thin and developing holes on them. I would NOT purchase these again.Read more
