The Warmrails HCS model measures 23.5-inches (L) by 37.5-inches (H) by 12.75-inches (W) and includes a 7-foot electrical cord, an illuminated on/off switch, hardware for installation and an instruction manual.
Warmrails was started in 1999 when two native New Zealanders came to the United States and were shocked that their new house did not have a towel warmer. It was then that Warmrails was created. Now offering a variety of towel warmers in five different styles, the product is designed to meet consumers' needs in luxury and performance, all at an affordable price. The Warmrails towel warmers are designed to run safely and efficiently 24-hours a day. In fact, they use less energy than a light bulb!
- Keeps towels dry, warm and fresh

There's nothing quite as luxurious as having a warm towel ready after a shower or bath. By drying towels more quickly than if they are left to air-dry, the rack helps eliminate mildew and dampness that can cause odors in the bathroom. Delicate undergarments and swimsuits can also be dried on the rack, which will not overheat and is not filled with leak-prone oil or liquids. Measuring 24 by 37-3/4 by 10-1/2 inches in its freestanding position, the rack is portable and easily moved from one bathroom to another. When wall-mounted, the Heatra Classic measures 24 by 31-1/2 by 3-3/4 inches. Three finishes are available: brass, chrome, and satin nickel. --Ann Bieri

It worked better than I expected. Not only is my towel dry each morning for my shower, but when we put two other towels on it after the kids have a bath, they're dry by morning as well! Three towels, folded (so there's a six-towel thickness) neatly over the top of the rack will dry just fine in just 8-12 hours -- and the innermost towel ends up nice and toasty warm (the outtermost will basically be room temperature, maybe just slightly warmer on the half that's closest to the rack, but all three will be completely dry).
Some reviewers were disappointed their towels weren't toasty-warm -- in that case, I'd suggest a higher-priced model with denser heating elements, or putting extra towels on top and using from the inside. The manual does point out that how well it works will vary according to where you put it in your home -- in particular they recommend against any drafty places. Ours is in the master bedroom, just outside the master bath, and even with a ceiling fan on at times, it seems to do just fine.
All in all, it's more expensive than a towel rod from the local home store, but you don't have to attach it to the wall (a plus for me, as I didn't know where I'd put it if it weren't free standing). It's also probably cheaper on the electric bill (and easier) than dropping towels in the dryer each day.
It does its job reasonably well - the rail gets surprisingly very warm/hot (although not uncomfortably so to the touch). Where it contacts the towel, yes the towel is warm. Where there is no contact, a thick towel really doesn't warm up much. The best idea is to bunch up the towel around one or two of the rails.
I've put mine on the wall, and it's very stable with heavy towels loaded on it.
Essentially, if you want your entire towel to be cosy warm for after the shower, then this won't work for you - you need an airing cupboard with a water boiler/tank inside. If you want the towels to be a few degrees higher than room temperature, or dry some clothes quickly, then this probably will work for you.
It was very easy to assemble - you just snap the "feet" stands on. I was also impressed at how little floor space it takes up. I have a 3 ft X 15 ft bathroom, and the WarmRails takes up very little space and lines up well against the wall without actually touching it. The chrome is also an attractive design and finish, although mine didnt come with a wall mounting bracket.
Functionality is very 'meh'. Like the other reviewers, I am dissapointed with my Warmrails. My towels are not warm. The bar gets hot and the towels are fresh and dry, but not warm. I even out my robe on there and it didnt get warm either. Maybe this thing is good for households who re-use towels over and over and leave them hanging damp on the rack. When my towels are wet after the shower, I just throw them in the laundry (which doesnt amount to too much as I'm living on my own right now.) So I get fresh dry towels anyway.
I'm going to try to return this thing today and get my money back. I'll do some research and see if I can buy an actual towel warmer that *warms*.

It works - kind of.
I've had the same chronic issue as others. It just won't quickly or efficiently warm up a towel. It's just not powerful enough. Read more
This towel warmer could possibly warm up two face cloths. You get what you pay for. Only good to dry towels if there is two days between showers/baths. Don't waste your money. Read morePublished 2 months ago by GTO
