I recommend wearing leather gloves; I did slip at one point and cut straight through my gardening glove. Had I not been wearing the gloves, I probably would have taken the tip off my thumb.

    The head of the screw that secures the blade was stripped out. Some gorilla at the factory over-tightened the Philip's head screw and stripped the head so it didn't matter what size screwdriver I used it was not going to come out easily. After putting the scraper into a vise and using an impact screwdriver I was able to loosen the screw and remove it. Fortunately I had a 10-24 screw that would fit the scraper so I replaced the damaged screw with it. I try to buy stuff made in the USA but when I find issues like this I begin to second guess my decisions.
