Me Wise Magic is a great song in the Van Halen tradition of power, musicianship and attitude. It should have been a re-launching point for the band to finish the 90's and produce great music into this last decade. Instead, the band sold lots of CD's, made money, got stupid and greedy and languished for more than 10 years until they got it together in 2008. Go ahead and blame it on Eddie but ultimately it was wasted time. No matter, this song is great. Powerful rhythm, top chops on guitar and Dave recovered his mojo before being shown to the curb. I don't subscribe to the eastern religious sentiment but the general vibe of the song is great. Get up, enjoy it and use their energy to stoke your own.

This song had me hoping for a reunion at the time . It had that Al-Ed groove to it that is why I listen to them .
Unfortunately the brothers have painted themselves into a corner with Mike and Sammy . Sad really .
Dave can't do it anymore , love the guy but his pipes just don't have it anymore and his relationship is just caustic with Ed.
Wolfie is doing his best but frankly he's betterat playing his Uncle Al's drums than bass . Mike was good at what he did , which was deliver a strong compliment to the brothers , and the singing which sounds ..well .. Van Halen . Sammy delivered some really strong material in his own right . I would hope for Sammy coming back and Mike , but I think unless Ed and Al (Especially Ed now that's he's sober) can suck up their pride I'm afraid the mighty VH is done .
A shame really because Ed's guitar still raises every hair on my neck .

The intro is too long. With editing, this could have been a very good song, as least as good as the filler on Van Halen II, which I take to be the least good of the DLR era.
