I also have the 4 double-CD sets released by Edsel in the UK in 2011 - their mastering is noticeably louder. The 1999 remastering on the "Long Train Runnin'" U.S. box set was even a little louder.
FYI - The AMERICA box set in this series (Warner Brothers Years) is noticeably remastered with much better depth of sound on their first 2 albums -which were the only 2 that had been released by WB on CD in the U.S. The other albums (3 - 7) sound better as well, when compared to the 1990's era Japanese imports, especially "Harbor". (I haven't ever heard the Collectables label versions of albums 3 thru 7)
It's all about the effin' music anyway, right Nancy Wilson? ;-)
Get this collection then ... You'll be glad you did if you wish to have it all.
