This is an extremely fast paced book that makes you want to read it at one sitting because you want to know what happens next. Sarah, the main character is very believable & gutsy. Four years have passed since we read about her in Dark Visions. She is still saving lives based on the information her dead sister passes on to her but this time she has had some training to help her get out of serious jams.
Her sister passes on some information that puts her in the thick of things right from the beginning of the book. Some of the characters are brought into the story from Dark Visions so that makes it interesting as well. There is no romance in this book which in my opinion is fantastic. I get tired of the two leads falling for each other in five seconds or less. I think it takes away from the story in most cases. Some authors do it very well but there are just a few.
If you like fast action packed books then this book will not disappoint. I can't wait to read the next in the series & am off to purchase the next one. Great job, Jonas Saul.
Sahara Roberts has matured quite a bit since her first book, this book is not stop action from page one. If you're looking for a break to mark the page and come back to it later than this is not for you..You will be awake all night, have to call into work the next day and ignore your kids so you can keep reading.
I like a strong female lead and Jonas Saul has hit the mark. Sahara is strong, tough and resourceful in this book. A little gray area is about her training from book one to this one, there were a few elusive comments about her training but it was very brief..I kind of would like to know where she was in the four years between Dark Visions and The Warning because she is also hardened a bit., she lost her innocents somewhere along the line and I think there is more to it then what happened to her in Dark Visions.
I can't wait until the next book comes out, this is marketed as a trilogy I can only hope that Jonas continues this character past this because I think he has a winner here.
