Warren Sharp of SharpFootballAnalysis.com and SharpFootballStats.com is an industry pioneer at the forefront of incorporating advanced analytics and metrics into football analysis. Warren is a regular guest on countless sports talk radio shows around the nation, and currently writes for ESPN's Chalk section and is the NFL Strength of Schedule Analyst for Rotoworld.com
Warren graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from a Top 10 Engineering school and then earned his professional license. While a licensed Professional Engineer by trade and currently working in the field for over 20 years, Warren applies the same critical thought process and problem solving techniques into his passion, football. After spending years constructing, testing and perfecting computer models written to understand the critical elements to win NFL football games, Warren's quantitative analytics are used in private consulting work, and elements of which are publicly shared on SharpFootballAnalysis.com and SharpFootballStats.com
His detailed study of team efficiency, including inventing custom analytics to fill gaps and increase analytical power, have allowed him to view the NFL in ways more advanced than even most NFL teams utilize themselves. His ground breaking work on efficiency metrics presented in visually stunning and easy to understand manners has spawned SharpFootballStats.com.

But the book is full of editing problems and misspellings. Sometimes he calls a team by the wrong team name, which led me to worry he might be talking about the wrong team. I understand he had a timeline to get this out with the most relevant information, so it's not that big of a deal. Other than that, it's a great guide.
Listen - I don't write reviews on products. But, I consider myself a very knowledgeable fan on the NFL and ESPN or CBS Sports data and analysis doesn't cut it for me. You can often arrive at the same conclusion on your own following their information. I need next level analysis - smart opinions rooted in data - new metrics to assess teams.....not "teams that score touchdowns win a lot".
If you're like me and you dabble in fantasy or gambling at more than a casual level, but not a professional, it is my duty to say .... just buy the book. Trust me.
Things to fix: Way too many typos. Was there an editor? Secondly, the knockoff logos of teams are putrid and distract more than they add. Some logos aren't even the same shape as the original NFL team and make it impossible to decipher when looking at a teams schedule. Dump that stuff and just use the city abbreviations if you need to reference other teams in small spaces, because it makes the book look like a cheap Chinese knockoff, which is obviously not reflective of the quality of info inside
