Aidan Harte studied sculpture at the Florence Academy of Art; it was there in Italy that he was inspired to write The Wave Trilogy: Irenicon, shortlisted for the David Gemmell Morningstar Award, and its sequels The Warring States and Spira Mirabilis. His interest in folklore and mythology also informs his sculpture; his ‘Púca of Ennistymon’, a recent commission in County Clare in Ireland, draws on Gaelic folklore, and has won him many fans, including actor Chris O’Dowd and comedian Dara O’Briain.

He directed the first TV show of the Oscar-nomimated Cartoon Saloon.
