From the Author
In Warrior's Revenge, the second book in the Maya Skye series, I got to spend more time with Maya's family and even meet a new member (a grandmother Maya didn't even know she had). This book is about choices and how we handle the darkness that comes to our door. And, yes, the crows do appear again to help Maya.

In this intriguing plot, Maya and her cycnical realist sidekick, the journalist Jorn (whose allure is a bit subdued and quiet, but there nevertheless), get catapulted into an intense mystery: Was Jorn's former photojournalism partner really killed in a war zone, and someone's playing tricks on Jorn? After seemingly spotting the dead man in a museum, they decide to take action. Did he somehow survive and is now taunting Jorn? Maya and Jorn need the shaman's diary that we were introduced to in the first book to help them unravel this mystery. They travel to some exciting places, meet fascinating people and use all of their combined skills to find out what's really going on.
I loved the plot, the descriptions of places, and especially, the characterizations of those who populated this story with uniqueness, wit, relatability and a bit of whimsy. I found this story unpredictable, exciting, emotionally touching and incredibly satisfying. Thank you, Sherry Roberts! I look forward to more Maya.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves Minnesota, yoga, or good writing.
