I felt so many different feelings about each character at different times in the story, that it felt like a roller coaster ride of emotion. A quick, and entertaining read that I think would be better understood if reading their first story, “First Love”, “Leave the Light On”, and “In The Family”. I say this because it’s hard to understand why two parents have allowed the grandparents to raise their child for so long. The backstory of this couple is fascinating!
I received an ARC for an honest review and I bought this book for my e library 📚 A keeper!
Short review: read it.
Lorhainne Eckhart is a must buy, must read author. This stand-
alone is easy to follow and almost impossible to put down. No editing errors, graphic violence or drag-you-down drama.
Descriptive writing that draws the reader into the emotional turmoil of each character. Lorhainne Eckhart always shows compassion for, and explains the how and why someone has mental/physical issues. The reader easily understands what the character and those around them are experiencing.
Realistic procedures, actions and reactions. Believable characters with distinct personalities. Thought-provoking and memorable dialogue.
I will re-read this story and always look forward to, pre-order when possible, new works by this author.
I was given this ARC and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
When they try to negotiate their divorce tempers and emotions flare! Both begin to have regrets when they realize they are both confused by their relationship and the hidden chemistry that is still there.
Are their new relationships strong enough to erase the past? Or can an old relationship since high school be rekindled after all the pain and heartache of the past?
Lorhainne Eckhart brings us another real family story with so much love and emotion that you won't want it to end!
