"[Alice's] journey of understanding, as helped by her friends. The characters were well drawn, and I found myself caring what happened to them." --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.
About the Author
Elise Abram is high school teacher of English and Computer Studies, former archaeologist, editor, publisher, award winning author, avid reader of literary and science fiction, and student of the human condition. Everything she does, watches, reads and hears is fodder for her writing. She is passionate about writing and language, cooking, differentiated instruction, and ABC’s Once Upon A Time. In her spare time she experiments with paleo cookery, knits badly, and writes. She also bakes. Most of the time it doesn’t burn. Her family doesn’t seem to mind.

I adored Alice and Pete. Their love story held strong throughout and was actually what kept me hooked. I also loved how they matured throughout the years. The writing is so good that you get a very strong sense of their characters as well as the ages they are in.
Something else I totally appreciated about this book were the pop culture references. I loved the British boys, the TV show references, my little pony (although I don't think pinkie pie is a unicorn haha) -- all of them!
I'm already recommending this book to my friends!
Definitely check this one out.
Reader Rated for ages 14+ due to teenager potty mouths.
