Top customer reviews
I have used a STK (Sterling Tek) NP-95 battery for the past few months now, that works just as well as an OEM battery.
Works perfect when its laying flat, only issue is vertical. Seriously, one small wedge of tape and you are golden.
For the price this is amazing value. Batteries have been working great in my x100s without issue. Shot a wedding and numerous fashion shoots.
Everyone told me that the Fuji X100S will go through a battery pretty quick and it's a good idea to pick up a spare battery so you can shoot all day. I spent a lot of time looking at all the battery options out there and the reviews are pretty good for nearly all of them. Battery manufacturers are doing a great job these days as so much of our electronic life depends on battery power.
Ultimately, the main reason I decided on the Wasabi battery was because they use Japanese power cells. These days, most electronic components coming out of Japan are high quality. That gave these an edge in my purchasing decision. Secondly, the power rating (2200 mAh) is better than the Fuji battery (1800 mAh).
The design is also great for a battery, which sounds silly, but it shows an attention to detail. They have a rubberized feeling exterior, not quite sure how to explain that, but it's nice and doesn't feel like it's cheap. It fits perfectly in my Fuji X100S. I was a little concerned when one of the reviewers mentioned it fit a little too tightly. I ended up buying (2) of these batteries and both were exactly the quality I was hoping for and fit perfectly. I actually like them better than the Fuji battery.
Can't beat the price and now that I have (3) batteries, I can literally shoot all day and never have to worry about running out of power.
These batteries DO NOT FIT in a Fujifilm X70, which uses NP95 batteries. The Wasabi batteries are slightly too thick. Neither battery will go into the camera more than 1/2 way before becoming lodged very tightly. If I were to push one all the way in, I might never get it out without damaging the battery and/or camera.
These batteries found the trash bin soon after they were delivered; it is too much hassle to repackage and return them for a refund. Never again will I purchase a Wasabi battery of any kind.
