This is a great battery that seems to work even better then the one that came with the camera.

My daughter was my backup photographer at a wedding and this battery lasted her the entire wedding through 500 photos.

Now if the auto focus and high ISO performance were anywhere near as good as my Canon Rebel I would probably keep this camera as it is I gave it and the backup battery to my daughter.

I purchased this battery to replace a non-OEM backup battery for my Minolta 5D. The OEM battery is still strong, but the backup was failing after about five years. This battery seems every bit as strong as the OEM, so I am very satisfied.

I bought two of these "high quality japanese cells" for my Minolta 7D. They lasted for about 30 cycles each. They both failed at the same time and will only last for about 10 photos. These are NOT high quality cells. Don't waste your money. Buy factory batteries.

Note: Factory cells claim 1400 mAh and these claim 2000 mAh. If this is true, these batteries have a higher electrode surface area which means that the electrodes are thinner. They develop shorts very easily. You are better off with lower capacity cells.
