Most of the works in the genre boils down to the conundrum facing our nation and the global community today. To what extent do we go in order to protect and defend our populations from the increasing threat of terror groups? We are introduced to insidious villains such as Angel Stone, Frank Reynolds and Dr. Heiler, the instigators of the attacks. Though none of them are sympathetic characters, we question Ryan’s tactics as he rips through baddies and stops at nothing to gain information. Bringing them to justice takes us to the end of the tunnel at Guantanamo Bay, and again we ask where justice ends and retribution begins. Are our modern-day Towers of London a harbinger of the future? The author allows you to be the judge.
For action/adventure fans and current affairs enthusiasts, as well as mature audiences seeking a high-octane fiction ride, The Washington Ultimatum by Lee Giminez is worth your while.
Just a few years ago I would have said his book stories would never happen but Mr. Gimenez is well ahead of his time. He seems to have the perception to know that his stories could very well happen. He has the foresight to know that his books are in the realm of nonfiction. I no longer say these stories could never happen because years and months after Mr. Gimenez writes his books it seems like his stories have become within the realm of possibility.
Killing West, The Washington Ultimatum, The Sigma Conspiracy and Blacksnow Zero are all thrilling and amazing books. I can’t wait to read Skyflash, Mr. Gimenez’s next book. I hope to meet JT Ryan and Rachel West in his future books. While reading I become truly concerned about these characters.
I am truly grateful and appreciative to Mr. Gimenez for taking the time to write extraordinary books.
It is reflective of today's headlines, and Lee Gimenez captures all the horrors of our powerful nation in the grip of attacks from terrorists who move like shadows among us.
It is a wonderful example of its genre. If a story does not capture my interest after the first five or so pages, I seldom finish reading it. I gave the Washington Ultimatum 5 Stars because it delivered what it promised.
