I have to say, starting to play it was a bit excited. It was fun having a huge city like Chicago (in the future) playable where you could walk/ride/drive around the whole city looking at the sights.
I would say though that the story is a bit bland or blah. At first you only see little snippiest of info regarding what happened to the main character. You don't really get a full picture to easily, maybe near the end but I still felt like I wasn't seeing/hearing the whole (back) story.
The hacking (although not at all realistic) can be a bit fun, but most of the time it wasn't very challenging at all. I guess cause they made the game for the masses. The only challenging part is some of the missions having you take out certain enemies in a certain way, or without attracting much attention, using the environment as your weapon sometimes. This can actually be a bit tedious when you have a guard pass by a spot where you want to get them but missed your mark and have to wait sometimes up to 5-10 minutes for them to walk all the way back to that spot if they even do it.
Some of the other characters you meet up along the way don't have any fleshed out backstory, and you don't really get to know them at all to well for you to actually care to much about them.
The city is quite fun, with things here and there that help you during missions, like changing traffic lights, to raising barriers. But after the first hour of playing you find it starting to become repetitive. The mini hacking things, that end up letting you see into peoples buildings and such and hear a bit of whats going on usually isn't interesting enough to remember at all. It's usually someone hiding something or worried someone will find out they are doing something wrong.
The vehicles are a bit of fun, but driving them can be a bit of a pain. I really found it difficult to stay in control of my vehicle or easily maneuver around somethings. When the game requires you to be driving long distances from point A to B, and your tires blow out, or you just can't turn it to easily at some turns can be a bit of a pain.
Then there is something I didn't understand to easily at first and started to get annoyed with sometimes which is that unless you change the settings to make it so no one else can connect up, your game is online and thus every now and then you will be "invaded" by another player trying to steal your info/money or whatever. This doesn't happen during missions, but on the way to missions it can happen at any time. Sometimes you can spot them easily because they aren't acting like the AI does in the game and all of a sudden you see a prompt on the screen telling you you're being invaded while the other player trys to hide nearby stealing your data. You then have to stop what your doing and find them and kill them, or lose out on money or experience or something.
Eventually when you get better at the game or at least near the middle of the game it becomes a bit easier, but sometimes you get experienced players who know the best hiding spots in you're area such as hidden up above on a roof you didn't know you could get up on. If you end up doing it at times, you will find a lot of players who are notified your "invading them" will stand there for a few seconds completely still then disconnect (shutting the game down) to avoid getting "invaded" which kinda ruins it for you if you're constantly having it happen to you but you can't find to many people to do it to.
There is also rampant cheating at times where you will be "invaded" at one point and before you know it they have gotten all your data within a few seconds because you weren't notified right away because they were using some sort of mod or hack thats not part of the game. I had this happen to me at least a few times. Or if playing some of the missions where you get a gun and have to collect the data you can find yourself getting snipped every two seconds by the same player who somehow magically knows exactly where you are every time you get close. I missed out on a few multiplayer only gifts you get for single player because it became increasingly hard to win any experience during mutiplayer matches with a lot of cheaters out there. I have played my fair share of shooters in the past, as well as mutiplayer games so im not new to this but it still gets a bit boring after a while and annoying not being able to get anything cause of others using mods/hacks at times.
Anyways, ill quickly end this cause its getting long. The story is really kinda forgetful. I already beat the game and I don't remember all that much about the story. It wasn't that difficult of a game but I still found it fun. I say it was worth the money. Even with some of the negatives
Pros:
Fun open world of Chicago (in the future)
A bit of "hacking" mixed with first person shooting
Some customization
Interesting ideas for a game with mutiplayer kinda tied into single player
Cons:
The multiplayer aspect can really screw with you when your trying to play the game unless you change it in the settings options
The hackers/cheaters/modders who unfairly win some multiplayer matches
The story is kinda forgettable
The characters aren't very interesting
Some repetitiveness near the middle of the game
The driving in the game was pretty bad compared to other games iv played
Even though I sound pretty hard on the game, I found it fun. These days most of the bugs have been worked out so you wont find to many glitches in the game this size. The only thing you might dislike is the multiplayer when its unfairly stacked against you. Id say its worth a play.

My background gaming:
I've always been a PC gamer, and have played such titles as COD4, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 and 4, Planetside, Ghost Recon Phantoms, Insurgency, SimCity, Portal 2 and 3, and Arma 3. (Perhaps notable is that I have not owned Grand Theft Auto).
My hardware setup:
I'm running an Asus GTX 570 with 1280MB of GDDR5, an Intel Core i7-2600k, with 16GB of DDR3-1600 RAM on an Asus P8Z68-V Pro/Gen3 motherboard.
My Watch Dogs experience:
I currently hold a 61% progression completion in the game, having finished the campaign and dabbled in the other aspects (investigations, side missions, collectibles, online contracts, and mini games). It installed fine straight out of the box, and has had no issues with crashing or glitching. It was intermittently lagging when I first played it, but by turning my textures down to Medium it has run much smoother. I also had error messages of NAT type when I first played, but I found an article that if you disable your non-primary network devices the issue should go away, which it did for me (I had some virtual connections from a Virtual Machine application).
Pros:
-A campaign with a story that draws you in more and more as you play, with increasingly difficult and interesting missions.
-A good variety of weapons
-A good variety of cars, trucks, and motorcycles, each with their own different handling/performance characteristics which matches what you'd expect, and that are fun to drive
-An adequately large open world, with different sections of town that have their own characteristics
-Different types of activities, depending if you want something simple and quiet, or if you want some action
-Hacking puzzles that offer a creative way to add cool puzzles to a genre that generally is only about driving, guns, and missions
Areas for improvement:
-Weapon customizations would be nice (silencers, grips, barrels, extended magazines, etc.)
-More variety in Aiden's outfits (rather than always the coat)
-Aiden could have a little more emotions and be a little more talkative (he sometimes seemed a bit flat and dull)
-A PC interface that wasn't primarily designed for consoles (moving the mouse to highlight one element at a time in a grid of buttons makes a lot less sense then just giving us a cursor to click on one, or having to move the mouse to scroll rather than the scroll wheel working)
-Repair shops for getting vehicles repaired - rather than having to steal or order a new one
Summary:
Overall, I have really enjoyed playing Watch Dogs. Graphically it is on-par with where it should be, I have found the gameplay to be fun and interesting, I really liked the campaign, and I'd call it a solid title. I have and will continue to recommend Watch Dogs to my friends. While there are things that could be improved about the game (graphics could always be better and there could always be more customizations), I think Ubisoft got the game to a point where it was smart to release it and move on to their next title, rather than spend forever trying to perfect a single game. Well done Ubisoft.

As for the game, I own the PC version and contrary to other comments, I found driving quite easy (similar to easier to playing strictly racing games). Just add control with the arrows if you are a right-hand person (I personnally was alternating between arrows and WASD when I needed to use the mouse for camera at the same time, which you don't during races). I agree with the lack of ability to save everywhere and then load to that same spot, but as you can save at an ATM which can be found at every corner of almost any street, it is not so annoying. And if you find it too difficult, change your play style, use stealth kills, focus pills, go buy the best weapons! Money is almost too easy to get in this game.
I enjoyed playing every side quest (got the platinum achievement on difficult), and I really liked the idea of multiplayer woven within a single player campaign. It was one of my first attempts with multiplayer, and even if it caused me some insomnia at night, this was a great experience and fun to try beating other players at different games. And if you are bad at it, you can get better by learning from other players... And when you want a pause from invasions (and play the sidegames relaxed) but doesn't want to reset your online reputation, you can just start Uplay offline!
There are a few things that could be improved (like the respawn locations in the multiplayer game "Decryption"), but overall, I hope to see other games of this kind in the near future.
