Nicholls delves into the mind of a spree serial killer with flawless detail. His understanding and portrayal of the killer is easily absorbed. For many, he might even instill a feeling of sympathy for the murderer.
All the characters in a Nicholls' book are complete individuals. Be they weak or strong, good or bad, young or old, Nicholls relates their unique personalities with evident care and ease.
This book, in particular, has a nice firm timeline. As the plot unfolds, actions and events lay out smoothly into a tight seamless trek from beginning to end.
I am anxious to learn more about our new investigator, Mr. Young. Though this book can be read as a stand alone, it's much more entertaining to have read the first book prior to this. Take the time to read this series. You will enjoy it.
All he wanted was his cousin back. He'd have to settle for revenge. Morgan Young thought the worst of it was over - his most brutal case put behind him - but when he returns from vacation to find his cousin violently killed, a new problem falls into his lap; the killer is still out there, and nobody can find him. Although he tries to fight it, Morgan can't help but grow attached to the case. Even with the police trying to stop him, his fierce desire for justice grows stronger every day. He just hopes he can keep his emotions separate as he finds the murderer before he does something he'll regret.
What did I like? I just LOVE Morgan Young, he is refreshing and lovable with such a good woman to support him. He also seems so darn real, like you could call and make an appointment with him to take care of your troubles. It just seems like he can’t stay away from his own troubles though.
What will you like? Psychotic murderers, characters that are lifelike and whether good or bad they seem uniquely real, storyline plots that take you by storm and when the dust settles you can breathe again. The research shows on each page and the time to go deeper so that we have a character or plot that is mind-bending. The details and descriptions take it from the page to a realistic feeling. I am looking forward to the next book in this series “Don’t You Dare”, I am sure it is going to be awesome too! I borrowed this from Kindle Unlimited.
