The water dispenser is easy to use and works as advertised. It was purchased at a discount in exchange for a fair and honest review. I was looking for a pump for weekend camping trips and to use during power outages when our well is down. Despite its quirks, I think that it will meet both of those needs. Long term use as a daily pump would be a different story.

Pros
The pump pulls water out of the jug as promised.
Two pieces of tubing allows it to pull from the very bottom of the jug, so you can get as much water out of it as possible.
Lightweight
Easy to disassemble and store in-between uses.
Comes with a cleaning brush.

Cons
Read the instructions! The pump is a little complicated at first glance.
The pump does not fit well on my five gallon bottle.
Don't try half-pushing the plunger. Use full strokes to get the best effect.
It feels flimsy and probably won't hold up to daily use.

Assembly
Read the instructions first. To get it to fit right the tube that goes into the pump must be boiled. This isn't noted anywhere on the outside of the package. I also didn't see it on the product description. The instructions tell you to boil it "awhile". I guessed at the time and put the tube in a deep pot of intensely boiling water for about three minutes. It installed into the pump without problem. (Don't forget the hot mitt!)

Installation
What didn't install well was the pump itself. No matter what I tried, it just will not fit tightly onto the neck of my five gallon water bottle. I added layers of plastic wrap, a piece of wire and tape, before giving up. Surprisingly, the pump was still able to pull water. I ran the bottle to about a third.

When I first opened the box, it was pretty much in pieces but it was really easy to assemble. I am not sure how it would work for long term use as part of the plastic that goes onto the bottle seems kinda flimsy and might break after too much use, but I was able to get it totally assembled and onto the bottle. Once on the bottle, all it takes is a light push for water to come out of the spout. We drink lots of water in this household so go through those 5 gallon bottles easily. This is a nice alternative way to get water out of them.

I did get this product at a discount or free for an unbiased review. I rate things honestly and rate them as I see them

Pros: I got this primarily for use in outdoor events. True enough, it is easy to pack and bring along to the park when having picnics with more than 20 people in attendance. This dispenser pump along with a five-gallon bottle of distilled water is more than enough for everybody. The pump works well, as shown in the attached video.

Cons: For those who plan to use this dispenser pump at home, the disadvantage I could think of is more from an aesthetic perspective. The five-gallon jug will be in your kitchen counter and will take up space. We use a standard hot-cold water dispenser for home use, and its design hides the jug from public view (making it easier to the eye from a design angle).

I received a purchase discount on this item for review purposes.

This water pump dispenser is a great thing to have for emergencies. However I am using it for daily use and so far it is lasting fine. I only have access to city water and my town has the nastiest water you ever tried to drink. I have 5 big blue plastic 5 gallon camping containers I have used for years that has a nozzle you just screw on the top and then store to use laying in the containers side. I have to boil every drop of water we use for drinking, food, cooking. As a result I have wasted the propane to boil water for years to keep my containers full and I rotate them, but I needed the faucet/spicket thing these containers had to use easily.

Using this pump I bought a basic 5 gallon drinking water bottle at Walmart. Read the directions and followed them best I could and it works perfect. Boiling it is important to get the rubber a touch softer and more pliable to make it seal correctly. I also messed up the first bottle I bought. The bottle I bought had a blue silicone or rubber type sealing ring came down pretty far over the sides of the bottle top edge. This blue material had a pull tab I could tell to open it and I thought you were supposed to pull it all off, so I did, and I was wrong. This make the pump fit loose, it still worked, but not as good as my second bottle after I seen my mistake.

Second bottle we used, I just used the pull tab to remove the very top of the blue rubber type sealing material. This left about 1 1/2 inches of the blue rubber stuff around the top of the bottle edge. I inserted the pump and then tightened the pump down over this blue rubber and it acts as the seal. It tightens up very tight and secure and really has the pressure now that I got it right the second time.

I have really bad iron water at my mom's house, so we use the 5 gallon water jugs for all of our drinking water, and cooking water, and our pets drinking water. We have an electric water dispenser stand, but it's very tedious to lift the full 5 gallon jugs and flip them into the machine.
This item has made a world of difference in our lives.
So with our electric water dispenser, we lift the jugs and flip them upside down into the machine, and it lets us get cold or hot water, the majority of the time we only need the cold water for drinking, or for our pets, so by using this push dispenser on a second jug that can just sit on the floor, it reduces the frequency of times we have to lift a jug into our electric machine. This is so awesome! We also keep a jug near our dogs water bowl, and now even my toddler can help with the chore of giving the dog Easter everyday by just pushing the button! It is really an awesome product. Well made, lightweight, but sturdy. I highly recommended this for people who have a hard time lifting these heavy jugs, or for people with kids who want to get their own water.
