- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2013This book is one of the most significant works for any farmer in Australia or anywhere in the world where water is irregular or not fully abundant. P A Yeomans is one of those Australians whose work is far better known and revered throughout the world than it is here. The scope of the knowledge here is breathtaking and has the ability to transform your land and life. The study of this work should be mandatory for everyone on the land. A true giant of Australian inventiveness and a work of a lifetime of genius, the true impact of the knowledge in this book and the power it can offer to the land manager has not even started to be felt. Buy this book, study this work and transform your land and life.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2016On the third reading the information sinks in better. Some sections are dry and tedious to progress. Concept and use are essentially tools to aid water management.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2017A difficult read but a must have text for anyone serious about permaculture, sustainable farming, eco resilience, etc.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2015a very good book. great information. One star off because the organization and the formatting seems kind of messed up.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2013Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseInteresting and very detailed book of the Keyline method of water and general soil management. While most relevant for droughty areas, many of these ideas would be applicable to other areas where water management could reduce the impact of floods by capturing some of the water during heavy precipitation events, and slowly releasing the water to reduce peak flow periods. A useful tool for urban water management as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2014Water For Every Farm is a compilation of other books written by PA Yeomans starting in the 1950's. The information presented is not outdated, and applies today. This book is invaluable to any landowner, farmer, or rancher that has ever struggled with periods of drought, or just would like more water available for their farm enterprises.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2014I found it very difficult to understand at first. It would've been helpful to have more detailed pictures explaining the main features you need to know to understand Keyline. I also found there to be a lot of repetitive information. Maybe this will be an easier read for someone who isn't a visual learner. It's an awesome concept, however, and will benefit anyone who wants to improve the land around them. It's just not the most interesting read to get through.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2013Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis is the textbook for the Keyline design system. It's a great way for water scarce areas to really flourish and build their soil and operation in a natural, healthy way.
