Totally disappointed with this flosser.First, the pressure on it is pretty weak. Even on the high setting, it’s hardly able to clean anything that may be between my teeth.Second, the design of the reservoir is strange. Because of the way it’s made, you can’t empty out any remaining water or clean it. Also the orientation of the inlet to the flosser’s pump easily cavitates if it’s not held directly upright.Lastly, the battery doesn’t last very long. You almost have to keep it on the charger, otherwise it’ll die during use.TLDR, although it’s pretty (the black is sick) I wouldn’t recommend this flosser.

    Well, I sure don't get the bad reviews of this great dental hygiene booster. Maybe some have had quality control issues? My case has been a very, very happy one, although I'm just a few days into it...but I WILL update if disappointment comes.

    I bought this portable job after researching the counter top edition and seeing that this one performs the same task, with the same assurances of better oral health, but doesn't take up counter space (of which I have none) and is just a lot less to fuss with in terms of cleaning, worrying about hose length, and generally just being a lot more bulk to deal with.

    It's the first Waterpik I've ever tried, and I got it because I'm lazy with flossing and I shouldn't be, so I was looking for a better, quicker way to accomplish some good oral hygiene -- basically a cheat for being a lousy flosser....

    Out of the box, it looks and feels like the kind of thing a dentist would use -- solid, well-built, easy to operate, and came with everything needed. It does require an initial 24 hour charge. But, impressive to look at, so that seemed a good sign. All the parts clicked and fit perfectly, and it comes with four "nozzles" or attachments, just like advertised in the photos.

    I'm only a few days into using it, so, as a say, I'll update if things go sideways, but, my first experience is that I really love it!

    I did watch some vids on YT to get a sense of how to use it, and it's easy once you get the hang of it. Just put it in your mouth, place it where you want to start cleaning -- close your mouth somewhat to keep in the spray (very important ahaha, as I found out when I forgot to do that), then hit the "on" button, and it does the job, shooting a firm stream of water. As the instructions say, just move along the gum line at a 90 degree kind of angle, and yes indeed, it does a GREAT job!

    I found that, because the on/off switch is right in my hand, it's easy to do a section at a time, turning it off in between (excuse the gross out) to, ahem, spit. I can do it in four neat sections, stopping to rid the accumulated water, a section at a time. The instructions say to just let the water run out of your mouth, but that is a bit more messy, and I wasn't a fan.

    It does work QUICKLY so it's not like my electric toothbrush where you have time to kind of focus on each tooth, since this one has a limited reservoir, and it runs out pretty fast, plus your mouth fills up with water might fast too.

    And, that actually makes it a fast job -- as they say in the instructions, about a minute and a half and you're done, working top and bottom, and I did both the "outer" side and "inner" side of my teeth, if that makes sense....

    My mouth was definitely super clean. I opted for warm water and then poured some mouthwash in there -- worked terrific and my mouth felt like I'd just come from the hygienist. NO mouth pain at all, but then again I'm doing as they suggest, starting at low, then eventually going to the high setting.

    So, yup, a happy camper here! It's quick, painless, effective and adds just a few minutes to the oral health routine, for (according to all the research I could find on it) the huge benefit of far superior oral hygiene, for us lazy flossers out there.

    After 2 .5 years the battery gave out. Because how itwas listed when you put Waterpik into the search boox, a different irrigator is snuggled in below the waterpiks and says its the NEW AND IMPROVED version MISLEADING one to believe it is also by waterpik. I fell for it and after ordering it was dissatisfied. I chatted with Amazon and they said they would send me a new waterpk on SAME DAY SERVICE at their expense for the confusion. I am so pleased with my ointeractions with AMAZON on EVERY LEVEL (been with them for 3 years now) that I can not recommend the company more highly!. The new waterpik arrived 17 hours after talking to them (Amazon) and I now have the product that far outdoes the "new improved" model by another company. See my review of their item.

    It's great. I now mix the mouthwash I use in it with water (seems a 50/50 blend works fine) and it delivers as advertised. It runs long enough (ample amount in fact since I often have contents left over) Is light and maneuverable has 2 power ratings although I only need the hi setting. When I take it off the charger it seems to run forever! I left it off for over 3 weeks and it never stopped working. I put it back on the charger since my other items on my 2 outlets thinned out so I never did find it's maximum battery (non ac connect) point. I think I will recommend this battery to TESLA. I guess my only silly issue is how they created the hole stopper where you put the liquid into the holder. It works fine, don't get me wrong. But once you buy it, it LOOKS as though it will come open. (IT NEVER HAS) which is somewhat of a miracle of design Perhaps I should simply change my rating to 5 stars....lol
    Well the replacement came through and it does not leak. I am very happy they did replace it because when it coincidentally started dripping two years to the DAY (on a Sunday) that it was covered for on a 2 year warranty that I had no idea was in force, the kind lady at Waterpik realized how close I was to the deadline that she simply replaced it. I didn't even have to tell her that I tried first Amazon on Sunday who advised me to call Waterpik first in order to get this resolved. So as far as Waterpik knew, I was one day out of warranty and I didn't bother to tell her that I DID try on Sunday but they were closed. I feel good about them backing their product like this. However, when I asked if the replacement also had a 2 year warranty on it, she sadly said "no".

    Evidently I have had this 2013. As of today FEB 2016, THE BATTERY FINALLY STOPPED.I SEE ANOTHER PERSON RAN HIS FOR 8 YEARS. THIS IS ONLY 3 PLUS YEARS. I WILL LOOK INTO REPLACING THE BATTERY AND SEE IF THIS IS A BETTER SOLUTION THAN BUYING A NEW ONE, SINCE THEY HAVE UPDATED THE MODEL. I WILL RETURN AFTER INVESTIGATION.
