The best led party lights.

My sister had these lights and when I saw them I just had to.have some. I just can't wait to get more. These lights are awesome. The only downside is that the self adhesive does not work. No worries though I used.my staple gun. It has places that allow the strip to be cut so that's where I stapled. I'm heading to my review just to let you know these lights are wonderful there's so much fun with parties I have. I've also found myself using them on the white setting instead of using my ceiling light it's much more comfortable and not harsh like some lights can be. I also love that you can brighten and dim the lights and the fade, flash ability just makes him all the better. Will definitely be getting more. Update... my husband received a TV at the Christmas party last night. A Toshiba 55 inch and while setting up said TV we noticed that the remote control is controlling the lights. All the buttons on the remote do something different with the lights whether it be changing colors one to another making them Flash or fade and even controls the speed in which they fade or Flash. As of right now it's funny but I'm not sure how fun it's going to be down the road. They're still great lights though.

These LED lights are exactly as described in the listing, but there are many things to be aware of! All the parts are relatively fragile and not replaceable - meaning that if one of the I.R. controllers dies, you're going to need to buy another kit to get a new one. Of course this isn't really a big deal, as the kit's are not super-expensive and the other parts can be used as spares. I found that the I.R. controllers are the most fragile of all parts. Sometimes one will work with one string and not another. Sometimes one will appear to completely die, yet it will work with another LED string... and then when you put it back on the original string, it works! It's all kind of a mystery, but once you get it working well, it seems to be okay. As an example, I turned on my first installation of 4 LED strings the week before Thanksgiving (November) and I have not turned them off one time since then. They have now been on constantly for over a month with no problems.

You also need to be aware that although the LED strips ARE waterproof, the connections are not, the controllers are not and certainly the a/c adapter is not waterproof! I have many strings running outside the house, and I have wrapped all those components in plastic bags to keep the moisture out of them. When you connect multiple strings in series, the plugs are very small and delicate. I did my best to tape them with electrical tape to keep rain out of them as best I could and they're still working fine.

The adhesive may or may not work for your application. You have to be SURE to separate the adhesive backing from the actual adhesive, or you'll accidentally pull the adhesive strip (which is an incredibly THIN and CLEAR membrane) off the LED strip. One of my applications is holding ok - it is stuck to the underside of a metal gutter. I first cleaned it with alcohol and dried it well before sticking the LED strip on. It has held ok. Another one did not stick well. I suspect a tiny bit of condensation was the problem. I ended up fastening all my lights VERY carefully with a staple gun. If you're careful, a standard staple (like a T-50) is precisely the same width as the LED strip and you can staple the lights to wood or composite. I did this and didn't use the adhesive strip at all. I was very careful to make sure the staples straddled the LED strip and didn't puncture it, and I made sure the staples were NOT over the top of an LED where you could damage it. I put my staples at the points in the strip that were noted as places you can cut the strip with scissors. No problems and they look fine.

Last comment: the manufacturer is VERY responsive via the Amazon email system for contacting the seller. They were right on top of any question I had, and happy to help. In my case, they went beyond the requirements and made sure I'm a satisfied customer.... and they did NOT ask me to write this review! The best part of these lights is the price - they're not too expensive, so you can experiment with them and not worry too much. I plan on leaving the LEDs up year-round, as you can't really see them when they're off. I'll just bring the controllers and a/c adapters in until the next holiday season. They should endure the weather just fine.

They work. They are bright and there are plenty of options. Flashing, fading, many colors, brightness, speed, ect. You can hook both reels into one single line or two separate lines. They are well built! Nice thick rubber coating and peel off adhesive.

There are three issues though. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
1. There are two separate connectors. How the heck can I set each of them to a different color? The instructions are horrible!
2. The colors on the remote are wrong. I thought I plugged them in backwards but I tried both ways.
3. The adhesive comes off with the backing on some parts. It must be a manufacturing defect or it's been sitting too long on a shelf. It's fairly decent adhesive but not good enough be hung upside down.

I would also make a suggestion for a feature. It would be nice to include a small extension that would allow you to run them from the power outlet to the mounting location without having some of the LED's showing. I had to use some shrink tube to basically cover up some of the LED's.

The lights work just as described. They arrived as promised (2-day delivery)!!! I am very satisfied with my purchase. There are some minor issues with the adhesive not holding. My thought is that the adhesive backing is not heat resistant. The LED's do produce some heat while in use, but if you install the light strip with the included mini strip holders. Make certain that you secure the mini strip holders firmly and spaced them adequately apart with just a little bit of tension. The adhesive and mini holders should maintain a nice linear appearance. I used them for a anniversary party. The request for a blue room. I received a lot of compliments on how nice and bright the LED's were that night. I gave 5 stars for that alone.. better quality than anything similar i have purchased from aliexpress......update........The box that the power cord plugs into has become loose and the lights turn off every few days........i have to jiggle the power cord and angle it to get the lights to stay on which makes me uncomfortable as there is electricity involved.....i like that you can run two strips two separate directions but the quality of that splitter is not good.....
UPDATE: This item worked for about 3 weeks and then the white splitter that you plug the led lights into completely failed. at least that is what i think has failed. regardless the entire item has stopped working in 3 weeks time and has been installed in a place that it was left alone.......will contact the seller and update accordingly
