I always triple pipe fittings, i.e. soft set pipe dope, next I wrap with teflon tape and finish it off with a second coat of soft set pipe dope, no leaks!
If you check around, the 1" copper flex connectors are a lot more $$'s, get these, save some buck and have fun connecting ;>)
After reading so many complaints about the rubber seals missing I was nervous, but with Amazon's great customer service and return policy I felt the risk was all Amazon's. The risk, small as it was to me, was worth it. I am a very happy customer.
Good thing I checked all parts before cutting the water loop. The washers are not available at your local hardware store. A plumbing supply store will carry them. In any case, inspect and assemble all parts prior to cutting the water line.
Sometimes one washer will be missing or sometimes both. If I need 2 lines I order 4 so I can be sure I most likely will have 4 washers to complete the install. I then either have the remainder of the lines as having the washers or I have to return one or two of the lines. What a pain, but Amazon takes them back. The manufacturer should put a small piece of tape over the end so that the washer does not disappear.

Used a couple of these to tie in a new water softener. They're pretty rigid so don't expect them to make a sharp bend. The connections have washers and hold pressure well.Published 17 months ago by kandlg
Solid, smoothly threaded and built like something that will last a good long time. Better than copper IMO.Published 17 months ago by OnTheMark
