Product Description

Simply great sound, anywhere in your home.

Fill your home with the award-winning sound of this Wave® system whether you love listening to your iPod, iPhone, Internet radio, smartphone apps, tablet or computer. The rich, lifelike music is the result of unique Bose innovations working together to produce sound well beyond the systems' size.

This special bundle features the Wave® III dock that not only allows you to listen to content directly from your iPod or iPhone, but also control your device through the premium remote. This remote uses powerful IR emitters so you don't have to point it directly at your Wave® system.

Other convenient features include integrated touch-top controls, which while virtually invisible, are easy enough to trigger in your sleep. It's the perfect solution for when you want to silence either of the dual alarms to snooze a bit longer.

The Bose Wave system III is nice but its not good for AM/FM radio. It plays CDs very well but the radio sounds muted. Also when you set the alarm and it comes on, it doesnt really wake you, it gradually comes on and you could sleep right thru your set alarm time. As I said...the Bose Wave system plays CDs nicely, but it doesnt do well with the radio. I have to turn the volume up really high to get a clear sound and then its too loud. The sound levels are set and I think the bass is a bit too high, but you can't adjust anything. I do like the remotes and the touch on/off switch. Overall, Im a bit disappointed considering how much I paid for it, but its compact size is nice and I like that its portable. I would say that you should research other systems before you purchase the Wave, depending on the sound quality that you're looking for. I like to listen to both the radio and CDs and it just doesnt do well with the radio.

Radio/CD player sound good, not as great as advertising makes you believe. The reason being the bass sound is fired from the rear of the unit and if the unit is pushed back up near the wall the bass sound gets 'boomy'. Bose also needs to change the power cord so that it comes out from the rear 90 degrees instead of sticking straight out which causes the unit to set out too far from the wall. Now as to the i-Phone docking station, don't waste your money on one if your phone is in any kind of a case. My phone is in an Otter Box and it won't even begin to make a connection when plugging into the docking station. You have to completely remove the phone from the case. Really poor design.

I have been wanting the Bose Wave player for many years. I finally decided to invest in it and I am very happy I did. The sound quality is excellent. With the radio, CD player and iPod dock; it covers all of my listening needs. I like that it has enough style to sit on top of my furniture. This radio does not seem to go on sale, but Amazon had a good deal on the bundle. The only con is that the iPod dock did not seem to charge my iPhone.

Bose System III with IPod connector is great and easy to connect ! Didn't realize the quality of sound from a small unit could be so amazing!. Replaced a Panasonic boom box. Extremely happy with my system.

Purchased two of these radio, one for self; another as a gift. Both units randomly shutdown. Had each unit replaced. Same thing occurs with replacements. Have now replaced both units multiple times with the same result. There appears to be a design flaw with these units. The problem is particularly acute when playing MP3 disks. Bose has no solution for this problem. I have to hope this is not an electrical hazard nor a threat to the longevity of the unit.

I also have a 321 system, the DVD player included in the unit has significant issues playing jukebox discs as well. p.s. the dvd in the unit appears to be an ordinary PC player and the bass unit is a big box with just a small (5 or 6 inch) speaker in it; not a big woofer the size of the case.

The controls for the Wave Radio unit are also poorly designed.

1) While the touch on/off sounds neat; it isn't particularly practical.
2) The physical unit has no eject button, so you will always use the remote to eject a disk.
3) The sleep function doesn't retain its last setting. Each time the sleep timer is set, it starts at 30 minutes and you must click, click, click to get to the time you want.
4) Still no bass or treble settings. If you have difficulty hearing in a particular range, you can't adjust the sound output.
5) When the unit is off, you can't adjust the volume below a particular level. When you do switch it on at that level the unit is quite loud; so if you're trying to be quiet... s.o.l !
6) No USB input.
7) In my opinion the unit should have a DVD not a CD player.
8) Bose should remember that not everyone in the universe owns an ipod, not do we want to.
9) Title information scrolls incompletely and is only visible for a short period.

We really like the Wave Music System III. The sound is great both for radio stations and CDs and doesn't distort or echo against the high ceiling. The unit is small, compact and looks nice in our living room. We've been using this unit for about 2-1/2 months.

With all the hype and product presentation on stores and shopping networks, I am personally not that impressed with the sound it puts out in a living room or any large room. This will be best heard when placed in a small room. You can get micro compo systems from Aiwa or Denon below or about the same price for a more hifi sound reproduction (small or large room). The bass is foamy and dispersed. The highs are not bad. FM displays artist/song title. Ipod sync stand and extra illuminated remote control is a plus. The price on this bundle need to be lowered.

Early 50's and we don't fully embrace all new technology. Out of the box and running in a minute or two. Sounds great! We are very happy with this purchase. Packaged well and Amazon did a great job with delivery. We use this in our kitchen. Very easy to use and again, sounds great, very rich.
