This book, I feel, is taking you on a mission to reach a greater plateau, and a better point in your life. It isn’t just another personal development book that shows you how to achieve a list of endless goals, but rather, gives specific actions towards discovering the purpose you were made to fulfill.
As I was reading this book I was asking myself: “Am I leading a fulfilling life? Am I trapped in a comfort zone and don’t realize it?” More importantly, the book guides us to ask higher level questions about our existence and the work that we do that should matter.
I love the idea of achieving success with less effort, too. We have this impression that to be successful we need to suffer through life until we make it. But what if we could just focus on what is important instead of everything? You can still live a life of freedom without working 14 hours a day.
I really enjoyed the chapter on systemizing business as well. Many times we are working hard but we are putting in more work than is necessary. Also, the author gives great encouragement for overcoming obstacles that is a major sticking point for me.
I definitely recommend this book for anyone looking to achieve more in life, and to build an inspiring and quality-rich life.
Maitha's book is no different. It's a concise book that will get you taking leaps towards the life you want. I loved its simplicity and I couldn't agree more with the comfort zone mindset that almost everyone is automatically programmed into.
I deeply sympathized with Maitha's personal story. Being a middle eastern I can readily relate to the obstacles she faced following her dreams. She also managed to convey her insatiable love and respect for her father who helped develop her achiever's mindset being an achiever himself.
I also cherished her sense of pride and deep rootedness to her country; the UAE. It's an authentic Arab trait that's impossible to miss.
Personally, I like to think that I am an Achiever. But even achievers have their own plateaus and many times need a push to help them break into new horizons and that's where Maitha's book came in handy for me.
Whether you're a dreamer, an entrepreneur, an aspiring businessman or simply someone who knows there is more to life than schooling and the long awaited 9 to 5 job, this is your book.
Thank you Maitha for sharing your story and blueprint with us. Time spent reading your book is time well spent.
This book is not meant to be an inspiration, but a guide past "I can't"! From starting with your vision, to action steps, to practical steps like systemizing your business and overcoming obstacles, this book is inspirational and a support system in your pocket
There are great coaching tips, summaries and exercises with every chapter.
More than anything else I applaud a woman who rose past her culture and is now inspiring others by sharing how she overcame bad decisions, taking wrong action steps, how she picked herself up and worked towards her goals: "you can pick yourself back up and fix it".
You can read through this quickly, but I recommend that you come back to it and follow the action steps slowly and thoroughly.
Great read, great value.
I really liked Maitha's challenges and questions at the end of each chapter, which felt more like I was really being coached for transformation rather than just reading a nice book that would be set on the shelf when finished.
