"This book is insightful, helpful, and hopeful—just like the woman who wrote it! It is a 'how-to' guide that I am confident will leave any reader feeling both informed and inspired.” --Emily Gerson Saines, Executive Producer of the Emmy award-winning HBO movie Temple Grandin
“Every school, large or small, with the responsibility of educating children with autism or Asperger’s needs the guidance this book offers. . . . every parent will find within these pages golden nuggets of advice, encouragement, and hope to fuel their day-to-day journey through their child’s autism. . . . The wisdom she offers through this book and its personal reflections on autism will, I’m sure, ring true for many more decades to come.” --Ruth Christ Sullivan, first elected president of the Autism Society of America

**I hope that I have the opportunity to see Dr. Grandin speak. She has changed my relationship with my son forever! I was actually able to "feel" the things that he feels every day. Thank you!
My only criticism is that the price of this, as an e-book, is a smidgen high for material that was formerly printed in magazines. While the book does save the reader from having to hunt down the original sources, the revised/updated articles still don't quite feel reasonable in price. I honestly feel this should be a few bucks cheaper. A potential issue for some readers is that they may find Dr. Grandin's writing a little overly repetitive...as each of these articles needed to establish points individually that the book doesn't need to reiterate quite so frequently. I don't consider that an issue however, as some will benefit from the repetition either due to neurological issues and/or a lack of familiarity with the material. Just be prepared to deal with a little bit of extra text if you are a quick learner; the quality of the content is worth it.
On that note, the overall quality is too high and too solid for me to quibble over a few dollars for any meaningful length of time. Excellent piece of information from one of the foremost authorities on the topic. Highly recommended.
