Swapped out the “meh” yellow led’s in my solar garden lights with these! Bought the lights for $9 each at Lowe’s but none of them were the right “daylight” color I wanted. a got these to use as indicator lights in battery projects with limited current available. I tried one of the red LEDs at 20 milliamps, and it was blinding. At 1 milliamp, it was still very bright. To use as an indicator with good off-axis visibility, all you have to do is lightly sand the curved end of the plastic lens. This "ground glass" area will now be very bright and visible off-axis. Just what I needed

On July 31, 2017 I purchased clear Yellow, advertised as view angle: 45-50°. However, LED’s which I received (marked on the bag as “X001FDIJ9V”) have viewing angle of only 22°, which is nowhere even close to 45°.

August 6, 2017 - Correction.
Initially I rated this purchase 2 Stars because of view angle specification (my project required 45°). Since seller promptly responded to my email and corrected description from 45° to 22°. I’m rising my review to 4 Stars.
