I am not going to call this a book of ideas for Book Reports, because of the negative conotation most people have of that phrase.

Instead this is a collections of 101 wonderful activities that will enrich the expeience of reading and interacting with a book.

Ideas range from writing in a journal as a character from a book to cooking and eating a meal as the character would. This type of activity will connect the reader to the character(s) in a book far more than filling out some form about how old the character is or where they were born.

Other activites include, clay sculptures, making a music video about the book, making a pasta automobile or other object from the book, organizing book clubs, author days or book exchanges.

Not only are there so many choices, the range of talents and interests used will make sure that at least one idea is a "perfect fit" for every child.

With many schools going to a manadory 90 minute reading (lesson) time, this book gives teachers a ton of ideas to keep it interesting and fun for students to actually enjoy reading and do something hands-on with what they have read.
