I purchased four of these PIR recordable soundboxes for our escape room haunt and they were exactly what we needed, with a few issues that had solutions.
First, when I tried to upload various sound files it didn't seem to play anything but the first sound. Being a zombie moan, it got quite annoying. However, when I saw the preexisting files on the second player, I realized it was user error. The files must be named '1', '2', etc. without any other identifier.
The second issue I had was the usb plug on one player. My computer wouldn't recognize the soundbox. I took the cable that came with the first one (that didn't have issues) and it worked. If I had only bought one, I would have thought it was a bad unit. Not sure if a usb cable for a phone would work, but I suspect it would.
The third issue I had was with volume. At the lower setting it is still quite loud and therefore tinny. To overcome this I turned down the volume on my files using Audacity's free software.
I was able to hide one in my zombie's shirt, leaving a small space for the sensor without hindering the functionality.
Overall, this product performed perfectly for our event and I will be a return customer.
