This is the seventh book in the Wayward Saints MC series. I have not read any of the other books in the series but I was able to work out what had gone on so far, so I would say this could be read as a standalone. I was attracted to this story as it was an MC read and also m/m.

Elijah is the son of the VP of the Wayward Saints and along with his blood brothers and his MC Brothers, they all have each other’s back and would do anything for each other. Everyone continues to throw River and Eli together, putting her as his woman no matter how many times Eli tells them she is his best friend only and she is in love with his brother. The only way he could make them see is if he told them the truth but then that would be one thing they would not accept of him. Him being gay. Eli keeps his secret life well away from the MC and his family. Relying on one night hook ups from a local gay bar, he maintains a separation of his true self to that of the MC. That is until he meets Spencer.

Spencer is a FED and is openly out about his sexuality. When he meets the sexy biker at a local gay bar he knows his luck is in but little did he know how their two worlds are about to collide.

I liked the way these two met and the gradual build-up of their relationship. It was extremely sexy and erotic with an underlying touch of the love that was soon to blossom. I did think there would be more angst and aggression when the truth was finally revealed but this was near to the end of the book which was a little rushed for my personal liking as I would have liked to have explored this more. Especially as throughout the book Eli had constantly worried and fretted about how his MC family would never accept him as a gay brother.

The backstory of how the FED investigation and what had been happening within the MC was cleverly linked but again I would have liked to have read more about this. Maybe this is to be further explored in the next book though?

Overall an extremely engaging, sexy and passionate read that I more or less read in one sitting. Definitely recommend and I may go back and read the earlier books in the series. Four stars.

Spencer is a member of the well known MC gang Wayward Saints. The youngest of four brothers, being gay is unheard of. Hearing of other gangs that have beat members that have came out, he's scared to share his true side with anyone. Going to a gay bar outside of town to unwind and see what "pops up" he meets the ever so gorgeous Spencer. Anticipation and chemistry are immediate and the two do everything they can to clinch the deal between them.

Elijah is one that really doesn't keep a man. Sex every now and then, then done, is ideal. Having to leave at the drop of the hat due to his job of being a detective in the special crimes unit (literally shown in their opening scene) makes being in a relationship hard. Keeping men at a distance is his specialty; and that's how he likes it!

Both want a very quick rendezvous, but watching them realize that there is something between them worth exploring was beyond enjoyable. Big bad Spencer has so much to deal with, including keeping his family from his lifestyle and the man that he is quickly falling in love with. However, he also worries about what Spencer will think of him if he knows who he and his family exactly are. Watching multiple battles between them going on at all the time kept me enthralled and on the edge of my seat, ready for whatever happened next. I love this series and Elijah and Spencer DID NOT fail to deliver!

Elijah - grew up in a motorcycle club and idolized his father and brothers. He wanted to be the kind of man his family would respect. But he had a secret he was afraid to tell his family.
When Elijah meets Spencer he lets him be who he is and he feels comfortable with him. Unfortunately, he has to keep secrets from him too.

Kay Renee did a great job of telling an M/M story tastefully. She conveyed a tale of two people from very different worlds who found each other and against all odd end up with their happy ending.
I loved Elijah and Spencer together and I cheered for them the whole time. The club drama was awesome. The outcome of Elijah coming out to his family had me in tears.

Looking forward to more from the Wayward Saints MC.
