The best advice I can give it to start one square at a time and work your way outward. Meaning, if you're going to put your mats in vertically or horizontally- stay consistent with that method throughout the entire installation period. You will make more work for yourself if you try doing outer parameters then working your way to the center, because just one incorrectly installed mat throws all of them off. Don't try to force the connections. If they don't immediately line up together, you have something off, that is why it's best to stay consistent throughout the entire process.
The mats clean up very well, don't absorb water and are fairly easy to cut and sculpture into your desired area of instillation.
I have to say. These mats exceeded my expectations. We are considering purchasing more for our gym.
I was so happy with my initial purchase that I've since purchased 2 additional sets to hang on my walls to help absorb sound.
The only problem with my first use is, while they're sweep-able, they don't mop as well as a solid floor. The only problem with my second use is that it's not possible with the edging to make a clean square.
The best part was that I ordered a second lighter-colored set for my wall and the next day I received a call from We Sell Mats. They wanted to make sure that I'd purposely ordered a different color--just in case I needed more tiles to complete an installation and needed the same color. Terrific.
Great product and fast delivery. Did not even need to air it out, and we are pretty sensitive to off-gassing. We bought purple and regular blue and used it to semi-permanently cover my daughters entire bedroom floor in our new place. The old wall to wall carpet was particularly nasty in her room, and since I am not ready to decide what to do in the whole house yet, we ripped it out of her room, sealed the subfloor, and put this down. It looks amazing! The colors are pretty, the floor is cushy and clean, and she loves it. I expected and am fully okay with it that it dents where heavy items rest, this is not a permanent nor pricey replacement, it just solves a problem for us for a year or two or whatever and looks a thousand percent better. I cut pieces to do it like a real install to keep it from shifting around; I did this on St. Pat's so it's been about a month and it has not moved. Cutting was easy with a box cutter and kitchen scissors, I had her whole floor installed in one morning.
