In summer that changes. It gets too hot when using the stove! I live in a rented apartment in Seattle and nobody around here has air conditioning. Using 3 quart pans via induction cooking is useful, and kind of a recently re-known vibe around here..
It just gets too hot to rolling boil water and ramp up the humidity on the standard GE stove top I have here to work with in my apartment. I learned a lot in my senior citizen cooking classes about the whole thing of induction cooking. This was three years ago. These days, I am 100% into to induction cooking in summer. Using induction cooking tops (even the cheapest that retail for under $100 to start, with serious avoid warnings on the lower end!) reduces all the heat added to kitchens by burners to nearly nothing.
This product: I researched a lot of stainless 3 quart pans before making the purchase.
Please note that most EverWear products are NOT induction compatible. None of my EverWear current series frying pans work with induction, as they are mostly aluminum.
If you want to do induction, you must use specific metal, such as stainless steel or cast iron.. If you take 10 seconds to upgrade your knowledge about induction cooking, you can buy right, You just need a magnet to identify pans that work with this method of cooking. You will love it in summer heat.
I have other non-stainless WearEver products that work well in normal times on an electric range, don't cost a lot, are easy to clean and efficient in use (but again, are aluminum...and don't work AT ALL with induction.
I've serious liked using this pan with induction.
Thank for that!
The handle did get hot when I had a gas stove, I had to use a silicone sleeve over it.
