This page-turner will have you guessing until the last few pages. Remember, rehabilitation isn't guaranteed in Cold Hollow.
Oh what a tangled web we weave. WEAVING THE WEB: A COLD HOLLOW MYSTERY VOLUME 2 was a thrill ride the whole way through. The story had good character development although a few were rather nefarious. The author, EMILIE J. HOWARD painted a terrific picture of Cold Hollow and it's residents. I didn't listen to the first in the series "Cold Hollow" but this was good as a stand alone. I'd definitely recommend this as an excellent listen and a series I'll want to follow.
J. SCOTT BENNETT has proven to be a fantastically skilled voice actor in everything he's narrated. His individual characterizations were exceptional and intense. I thoroughly enjoy listening to him unfold the layers of this hair-raising good story.

I loved Cold Hollow and couldn't wait to listen to this one, though I couldn't see how the author could top the first, but top it she did! This one was a fast paced, intense and quite creepy read. Cold Hollow sees 3 new parolees and a new family enter their "quaint" little town. On the surface, everyone seems to be settling in but things take a turn when mutilated bodies start turning up. With suspicion thrown on multiple suspects, it's a definite case of "who done it"!!
Once again, the author grabs you from the start and doesn't let go till the very last page! You think you know who is killing them, but you have no idea!! The plot is done in such a way to throw you off the scent. I think this is what I loved most about this book. I loved the fact that I never knew who it was and the way that you are on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.
In all, this is a total roller-coaster of a ride and I seriously hope we see more from this world!
The narrator did a great job performing this. He had plenty of tones for the different characters and really knew how to bring the story to life. I will definitely be checking out more by him.
*I received a copy of this for review. This in no way affected my thoughts.*
It is well written and Mayor Myrna Bradbury is still doing a good job welcoming in the new parolees and another family that are not involved in the program, Carla Macey and her two girls they will be running the nursery for the town. All was going well until people started to come up missing and the body of One of the Carlise twins showed up in the water in the middle of the 4th of July celebration. While the police were taking care of the dead body another person came up missing.I could never have imagined who the killer really was. You should really read this one as well.
