We’ve always been forward thinking, but it’s never been truer than in our new Genesis E-310 series gas grills with front-mount control knobs. We moved the control knobs from the side table to the front panel for full-on heat control and gave you two extra large stainless steel tables for all of your grilling needs. And we did it without compromising an ounce of the cooking performance that makes Genesis a legend. The Genesis E-310 gas grill comes equipped with an electronic ignition system providing you with quick and reliable ignition. The enclosed cart discreetly hides your LP tank (tank not included) and a precision fuel gauge lets you know exactly where you stand on fuel at all times. Porcelain-Enameled cast-iron cooking grates retain heat evenly and sear foods beautifully. The black porcelain–enameled shroud has a built in center mounted thermometer and the steel doors and aluminum end caps are also black.
Weber Genesis E Series Gas Grills
Excellence from Every Angle
You'll love cooking up a storm on this glamorous grilling stunner. The Genesis E series gas grill comes fully equipped with front-mounted control knobs, porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, and porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars to effectively hold and distribute heat as you grill. Now your skills can rival those of the world's greatest restaurants and steak houses.
Weber's Original Gas Grilling System
Notice how sturdy the shroud feels as it opens smoothly on its hinges? See how the burners roar to life on the very first try? Delighted by how simple it is to achieve a mouthwatering meal every time? It's no accident. Weber spends countless hours perfecting the grilling systems on its gas grills, assuring easy assembly, an evenly heated cooking surface, and precision controls so you can tone things down or up to the perfect heat level for direct or indirect cooking.
Cookbox and Shroud
The cookbox houses the components of the cooking system: cooking grates, burner tubes, Favorizer Bars, and the grease management system.
Made of cast aluminum, Weber's gas-grill cookboxes are durable, efficient, require minimal care and maintenance, and can withstand the heat needed to grill at any temperature. In addition, the shape of the cookbox, when combined with the shroud, allows for the proper circulation of heat around food for even cooking whether you're using direct or indirect heat.
Weber gas-grill cooking grates come in three exceptional materials: porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and porcelain-enameled cast iron. Each type retains heat evenly and sears food beautifully. Porcelain-enameled steel cooking grates are durable and easy to clean. Stainless steel rod cooking grates make lovely sear marks, hold heat very well, and clean up with ease. Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates combine the ease of porcelain-enameled with the superior heat retention of cast iron--no need to season and easy to clean.
Weber's burners are made of high-grade stainless steel, which will stand up to the small amounts of water found in liquid propane and natural gas. The burner tubes are made of a singular piece of steel with no welds, making them stronger and more resistant to rust and burn-through. And while they are protected from grease drippings and food by the Flavorizer bars, Weber cart gas grill burner tubes can be cleaned easily by gently brushing with a Weber stainless-steel grill brush.
Controls for each burner give you the ability to grill by the direct or indirect method. Even more, the burners are spaced to provide heat across the entire cooking grate, and the burner valves have infinite control settings, so you can fine-tune the heat levels.
The innovative Flavorizer bar system, originally created by Weber, is designed perfectly to perform a variety of functions on the Spirit , Genesis, and Summit gas grills. Angled just right, the Flavorizer bars catch drippings that smoke and sizzle, adding flavor to your food. Any drippings not vaporized by the Flavorizer bars follow the slope of their unique angle and are funneled away from the burner tubes, down into the grease management system. Not only does this help prevent flare-ups inside your grill, but it also protects the burner tubes from becoming clogged.
Made of either porcelain enamel or stainless steel, Flavorizer bars are durable, long lasting, and easy to care for. Periodically brushing them clean with a Weber stainless-steel grill brush will help keep Flavorizer bars performing at their best.
When juices drip off the meat, they funnel down to the Flavorizer bars, and then what doesn't vaporize into wonderful smoke goes down into the grease management system. The grease management system consists of an angled grease tray and catch pan. The grease tray rests beneath the cookbox a safe distance from the burner tubes to prevent the grease from catching fire. Grease is channeled down the grease tray and into the catch pan. Both the grease tray and catch pan are easy to clean. The tray easily slides out of the cabinet for cleaning, and when the catch pan starts to fill, simply remove the disposable drip pan, toss it in the trash, and replace it with an empty pan.
A fuel gauge lets you know exactly where you stand on fuel at all times.
Sear Station Burner & Side Burner (Model E 330 Only)
Maximize the heat without minimizing grilling space. This high-powered sear burner is designed to step up the heat on demand for searing. Even more, a flush-mounted side burner lets you multi-task while grilling.
Genesis E-310 LP Gas Grill
As part of the Genesis E series, the E-310 gas grill has a front-mounted control panel with three stainless-steel burners and an individual electronic ignition system. The unit offers a 38,000 BTU per hour input, and its total capacity consists of 637 square inches of cooking space (a 507-square-inch primary cooking area and a 130-square-inch warming rack). The unit also includes porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, an enclosed cart, and a porcelain-enameled shroud with a built-in thermometer. Even more, it comes with porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars, porcelain-enameled heat deflectors, six tool hooks, two heavy-duty front-locking casters, and two heavy-duty back swivel casters. Requiring an LP tank (not included) to operate, the gas grill measures 30 inches long by 60 inches wide by 64-1/2 inches high. Weber covers the grill with a five-year limited warranty.

I wanted to buy quality that would last and with research Weber seemed to be a top choice. They cost more, and seemed to have less size/btu specs than the competition costing hundreds less.
I've got to confirm that after building and using the new Genesis 310 LP, I'm convinced that I got what I paid for. This grill is pure quality. Every piece of the grill acts to make it a more solid construction. The Grill Tub itself is solid, thick and looks like it could last forever. Even the cleaning trays are well designed.
I snapped a bolt by over wrenching it when putting it together. It was a Sunday afternoon, so I registered my grill on the web site, then called support. I got a live person in less than 3 min. I gave him my name and zip code and he had all my information from the registration I just submitted. I told him the issue, and they have sent out two new bolt+nuts. He also asked if I had a Weber grill before. I hadn't so I told him such. He then gave me tips on how to clean it, how to light it, and directed me to the weber nation website.
This product was worth the money, and getting free shipping from Amazon just made it better.
Hope that helps anyone sitting on the fence because of price.
I purchased the E310 grill as the replacement and it is great - so far seems better than I remember the other grill when it was new. Gets very hot very fast and cooks evenly. I look for a long life out of the new grill too. Seems like a lot of money, but these guys are the real deal.
I also bought a large char-grill so called "professional" model a couple of years ago for another house at a local home center, and it seemed OK. But, the stainless steel housing is now deteriorating and I expect to get about five years total out of it - max. I have replaced the flavor bars already and I had to do some rigging them in because the supports were deteriorated. I think I paid about 400 for that grill, so you do the math!
The only complaint I have about the Weber is that the cooking surface is a bit small compared to their competitors on a dollar for dollar basis, but it is generally plenty big unless you are having quite a big party or something. I also note that you should follow the in structions carefully in putting it together. Part of the top shelf is a little tricky - be patient and all will go well.
UPDATE -- Werber now has a seering component added to the newer models of this grill, which I assume was added to address the concerns I noted above.
Decades ago when I was shopping for my first Grill my father told me "Buy a Weber" and I haven't swayed from my devotion to Weber. Our last Grill was the Spirit and it gave us six years of great service. However, the burners rusted out and it died peacefully leaving us nothing in the will. I suppose covering it during the horrific winters we get here in CT might have been a good idea but as they say Hind Sight is 20/20.
And so the research began.
Getting to the point where if I heard the words "Sear Station", "Infared" or "Side Burner" liquid Propane along with blood was going to pour my from eyes.
I really think what you need to do is see the grills side by side, kick the tires and decide just how far down into your pocket you care to reach. Off to Home Depot we went, ruling out the true junk immediately. Giving serious consideration to a Char Broil and a few others. And although these grills are half the price of a Weber and that does make them appealing but the idea of replacing them every 1-3 years quickly shatters that illusion and puts things into perspective.
We ruled the side burner out and although the Sear Station sounds nifty, we didn't see the point.
What's immediately evident is the Build Quality.Read more ›
