The cart was fairly easy to assemble, even though I hate to put things together. It took me about 30 minutes and I only used one or two bad words. I would have spent more money for a cart that had more metal and less plastic, but it is what it is. It still seems well built and sturdy enough.
When you fold out the shelves on the 200 or 220 this portable BBQ pit transforms into a really nice, small, full featured gas grill. I find it easy to move around I think that this is a good compromise for someone who wants both a portable grill and standard-type one.
Weber 6507 Rolling Cart
When I hooked up the included hose to my LP tank and I turned the gas on....nothing. Not a little gas, none. A quick Google I read about the problems with the safety valves and opening the gas too quickly or not letting the pressure equalize for a minute, but my problem wasn't that I was getting low gas flow, I wasn't getting any. I put the 1lb tank back on and it worked fine, so the regulator seemed fine. I called Weber which was very friendly, but since I wasn't home when I called they asked me to call back with the serial to register my grill which I had never done. I called back the next day and got a nice lady who figured the regulator was faulty, even though I said it worked with the small portable tank. She shipped a new regulator out. I received it a few days later, installed it, gave the burner a cleaning while I had it off and put it back together. No gas to the burner.
I went to Home Depot, picked up a 4 ft Brinkman hose. Came home, plugged it in, grill fired up nicely. I'm happy now. The hoses have safety valves that stop the flow of gas in case you disconnect it from the regulator with the LP tank still on. I'm assuming this was defective. I could have called Weber again for a new hose and save $20, but I couldn't wait.
Good sturdy size without being huge
Instructions were clear and relatively easy to assemble
Cart rolls really nicely
Came with 6' adapter for larger propane tank
Q fits snug and really nice in there
There are two hooks to hang cooking utensils
Looks more expensive than it really was
For sure fits the 200 Q quite snugly--I've heard it doesn't fit the 100 or 300 as well
I love this and would but it again. Even friends have commented about our nice 'new' grill when the stand made it all nicer. Good job Weber~
You will find that this cart is as sturdy as any other standalone grill machine. I scrubbed as hard as I could and this thing barely moved! I read before that people think the 20lb tank doesn't go well in the pre-fitted area in the back of the grill cart. I found this to be totally wrong. It fit just like it was supposed to and looked very nice as well. It takes a little work to wiggle the tank around the handle locking device that keeps it from falling out of the grill, but once you do it is like its part of the frame of the grill.
I bought grill cover for this as well and it fit perfectly. I read that some people got a grill cover with a mesh hole in the back for venting and they were angry about water getting through. Mine did not come with a mesh vent at all and it just went through a hurricane and the grill stayed upright and dry. I couldn't ask for much more.
