I purchased this little guy expecting quite a bit more based on the picture. The color is quite different (much lighter) and the wrinkled forehead and sides are much more exaggerated in the image. The forehead is nothing more than some extra material clumped together and the sides don't have any folds at all. I'm not sure how they got the toy to stand in the picture; it's very floppy and just topples over if you try to stand it up. From a quality perspective, the toy has extra white threads sticking out the folds in front and you can see white stitching on the head.

If you're purchasing this item because you want a realistic looking pug, I might recommend passing. I can't speak to the Webkinz aspect of the toy as I didn't purchase it for that feature.

(I included an iPhone 4s in the pictures to provide a scale reference)

My daughter is 8 and hasn't stopped playing on the Webkinz website since her Webkinz arrived. She doesn't always play with the toy itself, but since that is the key to going to the website, it is necessary, and does play with it from time to time. She's just never been a big stuffed animal kid. My son has a Webkinz too. He likes the toy a lot. He plays on the website too, but not quite as much or as easily as my daughter. He needs a little more help understanding some of the things and doesn't read as well as she does. Overall, a great buy!

Not only huggably soft and lovable, but comes with a code to enter the wonderful online world of Webkinz and create a pet; play fun and educational games to earn points to feed and stylishly clothe and accessorize your beloved pet, as well as furnish its cozy, ultramodern home. Too many and diverse games to grow bored anytime soon!

My kids are IN LOVE with the whole Webkinz world. They could spend 24 hours a day on there. The stuffed animals are adorable, and cuddly. They actually become irrelevant after you register them on the site, but that's the genius of the concept. You pay 12 to 15 bucks for the code number to plug in at the Webkinz site. The kids earn "money" to buy things/homes for the pets by playing games and there are safe chats for the kids. It's genius! The only thing I dislike is that after a year, you have to pay to renew and it's not clear how much that is. But it's all the rage here and my kids are thrilled with them!

Three of my grandchildren wanted a pug puppy for Christmas. They wanted the real deal but their parents weren't going to spend that kind of money for a dog. So, I bought them each one of these. They LOVE these little dogs! Now, for the best part. December 26 th my 10 y/o granddaughter was really down because she didn't get a real pug. I asked her if she wanted to go to our local animal shelter, to see dogs that didn't have a home for Christmas. Lo and behold, there was a PUG there! The shelter rarely has pugs. Long story short, the pug was adopted by my granddaughter and her family, she is a 3 y/o bundle of joy and fun for this family. Oh, the real pug just loves the toy pug, but she can't have it!!

This is the cutest little pug toy I have found. It looks the closest to an actual pug out of all of the pug toys online. I can't really rate the webkinz part of it, because I bought it as a gift for an adult frind as a little get well gift, but as for the toy itself, very cute and she loved it!

this would be great for toddlers.

my stepson wanted a dog for xmas and i suggested this pup but when it came in it was wrapped in plastic and was puney as ever! it was so tine and lump sided i was worried that my stepson would just toss it aside.

sure enough when he opened this present he saw the dog and was like ʻahhhʻ he didnʻt even give him the benefit that it looked like a dog! it just made me laugh for a few bucks at least i tried! he didnʻt like it because it was too unrealistic (small size) it did make him laugh!

thanks.

It's a very cute LITTLE dog. The dimensions are wrong! The stuffed animal is 8" long, not 11", 6.5" tall and 5"wide if you measure it at the widest part from front paw to front paw. I bought this as a gift for my 6 year old nephew and was imagining a much larger dog for him to snuggle and sleep with. The real size is more appropriate for a toddler. The dog is adorable but much smaller than they lead you to believe. It shouldn't be that hard to get the dimensions right.
