Sturdy jar that is tapered out so you can fit an immersion blender into it easily, and then when you've made your mayonnaise or whatever, just pop the lid right on. Some people complain about the clips, but they don't seem bad. They're not as easy as a screw lid, but easier to clean in the dishwasher!

UPDATE: 5 Months later I've used these to make things like mayonnaise and they continue to work great. I highly recommend them. I am looking at getting some fermentation lids for fermenting hot peppers now.
