I love Weck jars for gifting, canning, storage, and serving. The small jars featured here (#080, 976, and 760) are my go to for serving desserts at buffets. The smallest, #080 for 1/4 cup (2.7 oz) is perfect for tastings or child portions, and the short 976 and taller 760 are both 1/2 cups (5.6 oz to rim). I make desserts ahead, put the plastic lid* on and garnish just prior to serving. Since Weck has only 3 lid sizes for their numerous jars, I rotate my plastic lids amongst different jars, like #080 & 760 use small lids, and #976 uses medium.) If gifting, suggest you make a small card explaining proper use of the clamps, i.e., the clamp goes atop lid and is pushed down. Doing it in reverse chips the sharp ridge on lid.
