I really enjoyed this small town second chance romance because it has everything I hope to find when reading a book by Patricia McLinn who has been one of my favorite authors for quite a few years. I was immediately drawn into this emotionally compelling storyline that brings our heroine Annette back to a town that she gladly left behind years ago because of a painful childhood and the humiliation of an interrupted wedding and a marriage that never came to be. Steve still carries the painful memories of that day but when Annette returns both she and Steve are compelled to face their own shortcomings and deal with the consequences of the events that broke them apart. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series and learn more about the people and the secrets of Tobias, Wisconsin.
This book is Wedding Of The Century, book one in the Marry Me series, written by Patricia McLinn. I enjoyed this book and was really able to identify with the characters. Steve and Annette had planned to marry until his past came walking into the church during the ceremony. What would you have done? Would you have run away crying or fight for your relationship? I guess it's hard to know until its you standing at the alter. I couldn't wait to find out all of the family secrets, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series! I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily chose to leave this review.
I have always enjoyed Patricia McLinn's books. This is another one in a long list of those that I have read several times. I had the paper copy and now have purchased the Kindle version so that I can read it again and again. Love set aside due to mis-communication, devotion to a child and a happy ending!
Why do some men have to do the "right thing". Well that is what makes the story evolve. This is just a story. Of one man and two women and a child. What is a man to do? He loves one but the other states she is having his baby. The plot thickens years pass. Will the two torn lovers get back together? Read this story to find out.
This story was engaging from the first page. I enjoyed how both Annette and Steven rekindled their love and built trust in their relationship. I'm so glad that I read this story! I can't wait to read more.
