Mary Fiore (Jennifer Lopez) is the wedding planner. She's ambitious, hard-working, extremely organized, and she knows exactly what to do and say to make any wedding a spectacular event. But, when Mary falls (literally) for a handsome doctor, (Matthew McConaughey), her busy yet uncomplicated life is turned upside down - he's the groom in the biggest wedding of her career! Will she help him walk down the aisle with his internet tycoon girlfriend (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras), or will Mary finally get to be the bride, herself? As this sweet romantic comedy proves, when it comes to love, you can never plan what's going to happen.

The ethics of a wedding planner falling for a client can bring some to dislike the tone, but I think the way the arc is handled, is well done. Supporting cast is good and the leads in this are great. I can see Jennifer Lopez as the super detailed wedding planner and McConaughey does well in his role. While there is certainly suspension of disbelief for some of the usual romcom tropes, it's a fun folly.
This is a very entertaining and heartfelt movie. Jennifer Lopez is wonderful and Matthew McConaughey is sexy and charming. What great chemistry they have on screen!
Only one problem. She has unknowingly fallen in love with the groom! What follows is a hilarious and yet often touching drama of trial and error as both wedding planner and would-be-groom attempt to straighten out their feelings. The movie translates well to the DVD disk and includes several short featurettes, trailers, missing scenes, commentaries, and more. I was not pleased with the Director's Commentary, which involves much more profane language than the film itself, but much enjoyed the other highlights.
The film is well worth your time... and the "goodies" that the DVD employs guarantee a thumbs-up.

In an undesirable twist, Dr. Steve turns out to be the groom of a huge wedding Mary is planning. If the wedding is successful, she will be made a partner at her Wedding Consultant Agency. Msry broke the one supreme rule of being a wedding planner--she fell for the groom.
As Mary is falling for an unavailable man, her father, played by Alex Rocco I, arranges a marriage for her with an Italien childhood friend, Matissimo (Justin Chambers), who used to eat mud and follow Mary around like a puppy dog. Aww, isn't that sweet?
How does it turn out? Who will Mary choose? Well, you'll have to see. I personally loved this movie. I am a sucker for romantic comedies and this one did it for me. I rented it and on the same day I went to buy it! It's a great movie for you girls to make your guys watch! This is a MUST SEE!!!
