Chad Robertson is the American cousin of the groom and he is quite taken with Maggie right from the start. With his quick wit and charm, he helps Maggie out of more than one predicament that arises at the wedding. Having been sent to represent his grandmother, who believes Chad needs a time out to get his priorities in order, he finds himself at the singles table where he keeps an eye on Maggie throughout the reception lending a hand whenever the opportunity permits. Living in the moment and not looking to settle down, Chad believes that finding true love is all in the timing, and his finding Maggie could be just the right time!
Maggie is very taken with Chad’s bright smile, intriguing eyes and delicious southern drawl. Her struggle with the responsibilities of her sister, the business and her desire to do what makes her happy makes this an interesting tale of a couple strangers searching for happiness.
I liked the characters and the emotional revelations that Maggie and her sister Emily came to terms with. Overall, this is an entertaining and sometimes funny novella. However, the plot dragged quite a bit and I found myself skimming through some of the pages in order to get to the more meaningful interactions.

Chaos soon happens in the kitchen. And Chad will step in to not only help, but in many ways to save the day… all the while pouring on his famous Southern Charm on this English Lady he wants to spend time with. The final insult to the chaos is Maggie’s sister’s scream. It seems Ems’ betrothed decided to break off their engagement via text. Yeah, not classy at all. And, being the drama queen that she is, Ems collapses on the kitchen floor and needs to be carried home.
Chad will pursue Maggie, in spite of a few setbacks. And along the way brothers will reunite, sisters will clear up the past – and two very special people will fall in love.
The Wedding Reject Table is full of emotions. You will sniffle, giggle, laugh out loud, groan and be charmed. Opposites may attract, but soulmates know each other at first glance. This is one story that you will enjoy, no matter what kind of romance you usually read. I recommend this one for simply the feels and the emotions it brings out in us. It’s a delight and now I’m going to go find the first novel in this series.
*I received an e-ARC of The Wedding Reject Table from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.* Originally reviewed at Keeper Bookshelf (dot) com
