I transferred it to mp3, then, once my blank CDs arrived in the mail, I ALSO burned it to a CD, so I now ALSO have a physical copy as well, and at a fraction of the cost!
I had this cassette when I was a child (25 years ago) and I sang to it until the it didn't play any longer. Now, I have it for my girls, and they love it too.
I can't believe I found this for digital download! I'm almost 30 years old and I listened to this (in cassette form) when I was my son's age (two)! It's so fun, it's silly, and I love the wholesomeness about it. Some of the songs are folk classics from way, way back (as early as the 40s I think!) that most folks would probably recognize and the funny voices just add to my son's (and my own) enjoyment. If you have tots, this is a great album! GET IT! Adorable.
I often listened to this album and other Wee Sing albums as a young child, and now in my mid-twenties, I still remember and can sing many of the songs. Learning folk music like this at an early age has given me a connection to American history and culture that I truely appreciate, and that is something that I don't see in a lot of my peers who didn't have access to this kind of music. I would really recommend this (and most of the other Wee Sing music) for kids today, whether you are a parent, child care provider, or educator. Without a doubt, it will have a positive and lasting impact on them as it did on me.
