I gave it four stars to indicate my satisfaction with the product in general (and for the reasons stated above), but also to show it's not perfect. Its inexpensiveness means it's made a little more cheaply than other brands and models. Even so, I've been able to have one last a good two years, and that's not bad considering I use it daily Spring-Summer-Early Autumn. (But I never actually run it full-out. It's *usually* going just a bit above idle speed, and that serves me well.
The starting instructions were very specific and some other comments mention that it is very difficult to start. I followed the instruction to a "t" and low and behold it did not start. The next step on the starting instructions was to look into the "flooded engine" instructions and I ignored this step. I had hear that the engine was trying to start so just put the choke back on and pushed the button a few more times to get rid of all the bubbles in the line, and after about a min of attempting to start it, it fired right up.
It ran just as I remembered my old Weed Eater did and I made quick work of the my yard. It did have a little trouble idling at first but as it warmed up, it stopped dying when I would not throttle it (about 5-10 mins).
So far I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this trimmer to anyone!
