Right off the bat I fell in love with the characters. Ethan’s constant innuendos not only affected Vada but me as well. From their first meeting they both sized the other up and made judgments based on appearances. Vada saw Ethan and placed him in the Bad Boy-Off Limits column while Ethan thought Vada to be a snobbish city girl. They couldn’t have been further from the truth.
With Ethan always trying to get a rise out of Vada, he started to truly enjoy her feistiness and ultimately enjoy her company.
The characters shared an intense sexual attraction and when they finally give in its damn near explosive!!
My Week with the Bad Boy was everything I could have hoped for and air apparent that these authors are a fantastic duo!
An enjoyable read to escape into.
This is an enemy to lovers’ story—Vada needs to get out of the city to work on her book and she chooses to head to South Carolina , and to a small cottage that she has rented from a man online. When she gets there she meets Ethan. She didn’t expect this hot, sexy man to open the door. Ethan is the ultimate bad boy in his past but now he makes his money creating beautiful pottery. He is an internet hit but his past is painful and very sad. Vada’s hasn’t had an easy time in her life and when these two meet , its electric. Vada has this mistaken impression about Ethan and that causes friction between them which means they do NOT get along at first! But there is this intense attraction that is there, this connection. Ethan is a smart man with a very sharp tongue, one he wants to use on Vada. Vada didn’t fall prey to Ethan’s cockiness or his sexual banter, like most women. She called him out, and set him straight. I loved that about her, how she stood up for herself when he was acting like a brat. I will say there were several scenes in this book that were super HAWT, I mean blazing sexually hot. You will know when you read it and I loved that the authors went balls to the walls with the characters and the sex in this book. I enjoyed it and I know other readers will too. Also, the emotions in this story took over – there are secrets and deceit that is between them and when it all comes to light, what will the fallout be? Will they have a resolution, a HEA or will their relationship, as it was come to a conclusion and end forever… Trust me, this is a story that you do not want to miss !!!
My Rating: 4.7 stars *****
“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
It's a slow burning, yet insta-love romance. I know. I know! What am I talking about? Well, let me explain. It isn't love at first sight, but by the end of the week these two realize that the instant attraction they felt upon the first perusal is more than just lust. It's now love. So to me, it's insta love because their relationship literally happened over a course of a week, perfect title right lol, but it can still be considered a slow burning romance. How Brooke and Lyra made a week feel like a month or so, I have no idea ¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯ but because the characters feelings were so unexpected, real and raw as they exposed their true selves to one another is probably a start.
Vada and Ethan are what books are made of. She's a hermit, a city girl full of sass and snark needing inspiration for her newest novel. Atleast that's all Ethan thinks she is at first. In her mind, he's the epitome of The Bad Boy and none other than a Casanova. She's wrong, heck even he's wrong, but these two couldn't be more right for one another.
Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish went beyond my imagination. I mean, I feel tricked... Blindsided and sidelined with the added impact of angst, but this book is a gem. Not only do you get a romantic comedy, you get that touch of heaviness in your chest that pushes this book into more than one genre.
My Week With The Bad Boy was definitely one heck of a week for these two characters, add in Wilma, Henry, Nora and Oliver, and let's not forget Aunt Millie and it was one of the best days spent reading for me!

For the first 70% of the book, I thought this was an okay read. It wasn’t very original or groundbreaking, but it was a nice easy read.Read more
