I am currently enjoying the Kindle-only (unfortunately) 'A Week In The Life: Working On The Beatles' All You Need Is Love', by arranger Mike Vickers.
I am finding this an enjoyable read, despite a few spelling mistakes. Mike Vickers is quite a good raconteur - conveying the stresses of being a professional arranger in the London-based music business of the 60s, while at the same time injecting non-annoying but witty asides into his re-telling of the writing and recording of the orchestral overdubs for 'All You Need Is Love'.
Highly recommended.

A Week in the Life: working with the Beatles on 'All You Need Is Love' Kindle Edition
A unique look at working with the Beatles on the massive 1967 ‘Our World’ global telecast of their live performance of All You Need Is Love, with orchestra arranged and conducted by the author. An electrifying moment in popular music history, with behind the scenes descriptions of the two rehearsal days, and the transmission day, together with the author's struggle to finish the arrangement in time, in spite of numerous domestic complications. The Beatles at work, in the studio, at the height of their powers. Unmissable.
Mike Vickers has had a long and varied career in music. Saxophonist, arranger, orchestrator, conductor, composer, electronic music pioneer. Music for film and TV, and countless song arrangements for recording artists. Still learning. Still having fun. And more writing on the way.

At last, Mike Vickers speaks!

Mike Vickers is one of life's unsung heroes. This short tale of his home and work life during one particularly historic week in 1967 conveys his anxieties, tribulations and gives the reader a wonderfully intimate view of one of this modest man's heroic triumphs. (Not that he would say so himself. )
