Sophia is a wonderful woman. She’s caring, sweet, strong, talented, passionate and loving. She loves her store and she wants it to become successful. Sophia wasn’t looking for a boyfriend when Lance came into her life, but she wants him. She enjoys every minute she’s with him. When Lance tries to push her away, Sophia always fight for him. She accepts him like he is and she’s patient with him. Sophia wants her happily ever after to be with Lance.
Lance is a damaged man. He’s broody, hardworking and closed off. Lance has been struggling for a long time, but Sophia makes his life better. He’s happy again and he’ll start enjoying his life again. He’ll start living again. I loved Sophia and Lance together. I would just have loved a chapter from Lance’s point of view to get a look inside his head and also to understand his hot and cold better.
The Weight of Madness is my first read by Randileigh Kennedy, but it definitely won’t be my last. I love the cover. This book was emotional, beautiful, unique and poignant. I already preordered The Weight of Forever, the next book in this series. It will be Olivia’s story and I really liked her in this novel.
Highly recommend this book!
I volunteered to read and review this book. These opinions are my own.
Don't want to give anything away, but there were moments when I was juggling with a number of possible endings...
