I really do love this blanket. I looked into getting a weighted blanket due to anxiety which caused sleep problems. It has helped me get a more restful nights sleep. My only complaint is that, even when tied tightly into the cover, the weighted insert part still shift around or comes loose. It’s much easier to use without the cover, but unfortunately you can’t wash the inside part. If it could stay spread out more evenly I could easily give this 5 stars.

My husband has a weighted blanket that I borrowed once when I couldn't sleep and it helped me fall asleep immediately and stay asleep, so I purchased this one for myself. Maybe I would have liked it if I hadn't use his nicer, more expensive one first, but I have a number of issues with this blanket and longer use it. First, the duvet cover is absolutely useless. It is a pain to attach and then does nothing to hold the blanket in place once it's on. This is partially due to how the weight is distributed within the pockets if the blanket, which is its unforgivable flaw. While nicer blankets have weight that is evenly distributed, whether it be gel or smaller compartments within the quilt squares to keep the sand (or whatever filling is it) from all falling to the bottom of the square. THIS blanket does not. It seems to be a normal quilt with sand sewn into the pockets. As a result, the blanket hangs heavily off of high body points such as knees and hips, depending on how you sleep, instead of providing an even and comforting weight that you almost don't notice. When I woke up my joints would be so sore, something that I didn't experience with the other blanket (and an issue that I don't have on my own without the weighted blanket).

Long story short, sometimes you do get what you pay for, and in this particular circumstance I think it's well worth spending more money on a higher quality blanket, and skipping this one alltogether.

I love the blanket itself. The weight is soothing. The design needs improvement if the minky cover is going to be functional. For the weight of the blanket, there are not enough tying loops to secure it into the cover. It shifts in the cover and is a pain to fix. I find that it is easier to use without the cover. Fix the design of the cover and you'd have a 5 star review
