Well Built is the third book in Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde's Book Boyfriends series. While it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone without issue.
When Kyle Coleman left his hometown of Woodmont ten years ago, he not only left his mother, he left the one woman he has ever loved, Ella Fisher. Because of issues between his family and hers, things ended badly between them, but once he left to go to school and work in Chicago, he's never found a woman who compares to his high school girlfriend.
Ella has always missed Kyle, but when he shows back up in town he not only throws a wrench in her plans to expand her business, but he also puts her heart at risk again because she realizes how much she really did miss him.
While there is animosity and hurt between them both because of past issues and due to Kyle's return to town, there is still plenty between them. It's obvious they care about one another, but the question is can they get past all of the external problems and focus on them and how they feel about one another? Can a now City Boy and a perennial Country Girl find a way to make it work?
This was a great second chance romance and addition to the series. I enjoyed the characters and it was a quick moving, sweet, sexy story. I'm looking forward to the next installment of this series!
Kyle is one of the partners in Premier Realty. He redevelops buildings that have been neglected. Kyle returns home to Woodmont, Illinois after 10-yrs to bid on a commercial property next door to Fisher's Grocery. He will be bidding against Ella for the property.
Ella is bidding on the building next to her family store, Fisher's Grocery's, so she could expand the store to feature more of the local artisan's. She believes there will be no competition at the auction, and is shocked that she looses the property to Kyle.
I absolutely love Kyle … he is an Alpha male with a big heart who will fight for what he wants. Ella takes some getting used to … will you hate her or applaud her dedication to her family. Can they get past the past, and move forward as adults to get their HEA?
Another amazing collaboration between Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Kyle runs the construction side of Premier Reality and finds himself back in his hometown to bid on a building so his mom can have her dream of owning a bakery. The only problem with that is he will be bidding against his high school sweetheart for the property. Kyle has always regretted letting Ella go 10 years ago and he was sure she was going to hate him for
out bidding her.
Ella Fisher took over running the local grocery store after her fathers
10 years ago. Her dream of expanding into the building next door was about to be realized. Her world comes crashing down when a man she hasn't seen for 10 years out bid her and ruined her expansion.
The chemistry between these two is smoking hot!!! Will the be able to put the past behind them and have a future together?
Now, ten years later, Kyle is back home to bid on a building to help realize his mother's dream. It just happens to be the same one his ex-girlfriend Ella wants in order to expand her business. What happens when City is reunited with Country? Are they still attracted to each other? Can they move past the reason they broke up years ago, or are they destined to be apart forever and stuck in the "friend zone."
Carly and Erika write the best books! They are light, fun and sexy reads that will bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart.
This is the tale of Kyle and Ella. They were a couple when they were younger but due to circumstances and misunderstandings their relationship ended and Kyle moved away. Now Kyle is back to buy a storefront location for his mom to have her dream bakery. Sweet right??? Except for this to happen, Kyle has to buy the building in an auction where the other bidder is none other than Ella. He knows that to give his mom her dream, he's going to crush the dream of the only other woman he's ever cared about.
This book had my attention from the beginning and I didn't put it down until the last page and I can't wait for the next book in this series! ♡
This is a sweet and sexy story about two people finally dealing with their painful past. Ella has never forgotten Kyle, though she tried...a failed engagement is proof of that. Kyle will always think of leaving Ella as his one regret, but he thinks too much time has passed...especially when he's about to crush her dreams.
The story is a little predictable, but I liked the characters. I wanted them to find their HEA. All in all it's an enjoyable easy read with a little humor, a little drama, and alot of love.
The collaboration between Carly and Erika is flawless as always. I love their books, and this one is really good. 4.5 stars!
