Travis Simmons does a great job of building this make believe world and the characters in the book. I can picture it all in my mind, a must for any good book. He makes me want to be a wyrder or sorceress, kind of like Harry Potter had me wanting to be a wizard.
There are so many great things about this book but you really need to read all of the books to understand what is going on. I found myself having to go back a couple of times to recall what had happened before to understand what was happening or what a character was referring to.
I find that this book is appropriate for high school students and older. However, as with any book, I do recommend that parents read the book first. There are a few adult situations that they may not approve of. I give this book 4 stars. I probably would've given it 5 stars but there are a few times when I found it confusing. I am anxiously waiting for the next book.
I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
If I could describe The Well Of Wyrding in one word it would be WHOA! Book #3 in the Revenant Wyrd Saga is full of terror.
You have teachers being overtaken by toxic wyrd, lashing out and killing their entire classrooms, beasts attacking in the foggy mist, etc. If this were a movie, it would be very gruesome. The Well Of Wyrding really delves into the evil that has been unleashed and gives you very graphic details of what is taking place in the Realms. The siblings are still searching for their lost sister, Amber. Chaos is wreaking havoc everywhere. It's crazy!
Like in the other novels, there are a ton of words I'm not sure how to pronounce, but the story is amazing. I love how Travis Simmons sets the scenes and draws you into the story... and then leaves you with a big giant cliffhanger. You still have 3 books to go to total understanding of The Revenant Wyrd Saga. You get little pieces to this whole thing with each book in the series. A little bit is revealed and leaves you waiting in anticipation for the next book. And I'm going to be reviewing them all.
If you love long sagas, then you're going to love The Revenant Wyrd Saga.
As usual, all the characters are well written, the world is beautifully described and easy to imagine, and the tension is enough to keep you on the edge of your seats at times, reading eagerly to find out what will happen next. This book seems darker to me than the first two, more action and more chaos. I kept finding myself trying to think ahead to what might happen and was always surprised, whether I was right or wrong in my guesses.
I look forward to each of the books in the series and am glad that I have the opportunity to review them. I recommend these books to anyone that enjoys a great fantasy with many layers to the story. I would suggest reading from the first book, as they would be too confusing to just jump into without reading them in order.
Disclosure: I received a copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not required to leave a positive review.
Cianna meets Pi who is from the Realm of Water and, her friend Devenstar. She tells them that she is from the North traveling to the Realm of Fire. The whole thing sounded fascinating and magical.
Angelica, her sister Joya and Jovian were also involved with the gnomes with Maeven leading the way. Uthia announces that the antagonist of wyrd name: Wyrders’ Bane is the answer to the cure seeking to eradicate the Wyrding Ways within people. Yes, if you have read previous books from Travis, you will notice that some characters have returned.
Porillion is there and I just like the way it ends or doesn't end. Well, I sure like the way bodies re-assemble, well sort of. There is another book after this. It is a better read if someone starts from the very first book from the series. I do recommend it.
