This book consolidates the vast amount of information out there on wellness and gives you the foundation that will give you the most return on your efforts. The book is not preachy/judgmental but rather like talking to a supportive friend. Dr Robin seems to sincerely be on a mission to make wellness accessible to everyone no matter their financial situation or where they are (or have been) health-wise. Great book for anyone who doesn't know where to start or anyone who has fallen off and needs a jump start to wellness.

As a personal trainer, "Wellness on a Shoestring: Seven Habits for Healthy Life" is the perfect gift to give clients who are on a health journey. The seven habits are simple. Easy to follow. Physical fitness can only do so much. There are other lifestyle changes that need to happen for the body to be healthy. This book covers those steps, and it has served as a wonderful tool to keep our clients focused on their overall health.

Dr. Michelle Robin writes in a way that is easily understandable and interjects real life stories to bring home her points about how to make choices for a healthy lifestyle. She does this with suggestions that are not costly and really common sense ideas. A good guide to help a person in the direction of health.

Very basic information; drink water, get exercise etc. If you know the basics of leading a healthy life I would skip this one.

A decent introduction to "wellness" practices. I'd prefer a more fleshed out version - in both theory and practice. Not bad if read as more of a glimpse or survey of taking responsibility for your own health.
