“I once said that if you could put Karina and Lindsay together you would have the perfect woman. Well, together they’ve written the perfect book. It’s hilarious, light-hearted, and delivers an insightful glimpse into the minds of how women feel about guys and dating. It’s refreshing to see these two having a chuckle about men while making fun of themselves in the process. If you want a feel-good read, these two have written it.” -Ralph Macchio, actor
"Karina and Lindsay have brilliantly chronicled their dating escapades and disasters. It’s perfect 'toilet reading'. Really, during your little private bathroom time, there’s nothing better to ponder than somebody else's humiliating experience...because it makes you feel just a little less horrified about your own." -Lisa Ann Walter, Actress and Comedian

p.s. I literally had tears from laughing so hard during some of the stories!
I had originally bought this book in the hope that it would contain some wisdom that I could give to my daughter who lives in LA and is in a totally dead end relationship. However after reading this book, her relationship doesn't look quite as awful. LA must be a far more totally screwed up place than I imagined. I am donating the book to the public library. .
The one bright spot was the acknowledgements at the end. The woman expressed genuine love and warmth for their friends and family which kind of redeemed them in my mind.
My advise...pass on this book for sure. If you want to read something uplifting, try "A Woman of Substance" by Barbara Taylor Bradford. Maybe to get a good man, you have to be a better woman.
The format they use to tell each story is very conversational and it feels intimate. Karina and Lindsay alternate relating their stories and the other one inserts how the "disaster" should have been avoided or what lesson should be learned from it! They also have comments/chapters from other female friends and from three of their close male friends. I thought the guys comments added a great touch and added to the fun. We should all be so lucky to have these three guys as friends!
Underneath all of these fun "girl, you won't believe this!" stories, are the themes of trying to balance career, family, motherhood, egos and break-ups, and what really is important for relationships to survive. Who can't relate to those questions and struggles? It is also a story of a real, true friendship between these two women and how supportive they are of each other.
Both Karina and Lindsay's Mothers share their advice on what characteristics/qualities they feel are important in finding a "true love/man of substance" and that section was one of my favorites in the book.Read more ›

If she wasn't known from Dancing with the Stars I probably wouldn't have bothered at all. Very superficial.Published 10 months ago by Kindle Customer
Funny, charming and sure lets me know that my dating disasters were not my fault...these guys really were pitiful specimens. It has nothing to do with looks etc.Published 11 months ago by Hella Prante
This was an okay book, for some reason the cover sounds funnier than the book really was.Published 12 months ago by ronda scott
A good laugh. Hard to believe such beauties would have this kind of trouble. Why is it so easy to believe that some men would actually behave like that!Published 12 months ago by Kindle Customer
As zero stars aren't available, I reluctantly give it one. My they are full of themselves. Their 'hilarious' dating stories aren't , at all. Read morePublished 12 months ago by Robyn L.
